Andrew Hendrix & Tommy Rees Status at ND

I believe our coaches (Chaney especially) have loved Rees' skills from the first time they watched him throw...

How would you know that since coaches aren't allowed to mention a players name?

Not trying to be a jerk, really want to know.

Is Rees really that good? Yes I realize that our staff is better at evaluating talent than me, but so are other staffs and this kids offer list is pretty terrible (other than us and ND). Just sayin

No. I know for a fact the staff is very indecisive at this point about even pursuing him again. I think they will probably hold off on offering another QB unless some elite guy becomes available and they are few and far between in this class.

I think the staff wants one QB this year and take in two next year. I think the staff would rather want LeMay or Bridgewater, and tell him they might start from day one (if Stephens starts) than recruit Rees. Just my opinion though.

I know this isnt the proper thread but starting another one is a waste. If Stoops pulled a Saban and went to ND anyone think Bell would open his recruiting back up? Just throwing it out there.

Which is worse, him getting pissed and throwing a tantrum, or Briscoe over there yucking it up while his team is getting it's collective ass handed to it?

I don't know. Tough call. Could've done without either.

Anyone who says Bray is more talented than Stephens at this point is talking out of their ear. I hope Bray is great but he will take development before being a SEC starter.

Neither guy will scare SEC DC's running the ball. Stephens has a stronger arm by far and did as a recruit as well. Bray looks more accurate but you have to consider the competition.

I really, really have no bias on this. I will be giddy if Bray comes in and takes the job. But there is NO CREDIBLE basis to say the kid is more talented than Stephens until he plays against similar competition and shows it.

the hell with it.
let's pull in a baseball player to start, then put in a punter or d. lincoln.
after that, bray will take over.

Hey mo... as someone once said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion... but not their own facts. It is an indisputable FACT that Stephens has a better arm than Bray. He just does... in fact he's got one of the stronger arms UT has ever had. It is also an indisputable FACT that Bray has NEVER played against anything close to the competition he'll see in the SEC. NO ONE knows if the skill he possesses will carry over to success at this level.

If you can't handle facts then that's on you.

If Stephens and JC were close in the QB competition, one would think with him pretty much being the only other QB we have other than Lamaison that has played beyond HS, he'll get most of the work in the spring. Stephens appears to have the tools to be a good QB. I would thinkg Bray is going to have to eat before he's ready to go in the SEC. What about Lamaison? Is he even in the mix for anything other than running the scout team offense?
