Andrew Tate: Neutered by Greta, then arrested after failed clapback

For those who don't know who Tate is, I guess he started out in MMA, but I'm an MMA fan and didn't know who he was until he got kicked off FB and Twitter in September. I guess he's some sort of alt-right troll/influencer but not sure how famous he was until he got "canceled."

If anybody has seen the new Knives Out movie, the Bautista character is based on Andrew Tate. At least, that's what I inferred.

People are so easily duped these days it’s scary.

How could anyone watch anything the guy does and be like yes, this is who I want to be like? Lol we are so effed.

The pizza box thing getting him busted was actually kind of funny. Not sure where the "neutered by Greta" thing came from. I guess there's a sophomoric and trite giggle to be had by some trying to play the "overcompensation/get a life" thing but that seems pretty weak sauce against a guy worth 355M with kickboxing world titles in 2 weight divisions. From what very little I've learned about the dude (all from this morning) he seems to me like a guy doing a misogynist/playa schtick.

If he really is part of a human trafficking/sex ring then F him regardless of any of the above.

She's a teenager on the spectrum who was minding her own business and she returned fire with mortar shots. $ and fighting would be things you use to compensate for a small dick. $ and titles are not a life. Your defense against her insults makes no sense. He lost by trying to troll her in the first place, and then he actually lost the war of words, and then got arrested for it. This is probably the biggest series of L's we've ever seen in social media history.

And FTR, 9/10 you see "human trafficking" charges, it's just prostitution. He's probably just getting busted for paying for hookers. It could be more, but I wouldn't expect that.

Defense of what? Dude, "dick size" and "get a life" are only one notch up from "Yeah well...yo momma!". I actually agree with "He lost by trying to troll her in the first place." and outright stated the getting busted for the pizza box was funny. I was just a bit underwhelmed by that particular retort apparently being treated as some kind of

Four suspects were arrested and detained for a period of 24 hours, including both Tate brothers, a former policewoman, and an unnamed fourth Romanian individual.[8] DIICOT alleges that the suspects "recruited and then sexually abused" six women in Ilfov,[8] and formed a group in early 2021 "with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialised websites for a cost".[8][60] Both Tate brothers are charged with human trafficking and forming an organized crime group. One of the four suspects is charged with rape, but was not named by police. Following the 24 hour detention, DIICOT asked a judge that the suspects be held for 30 more days; the judge is expected to issue a ruling later on Friday, December 30, 2022

She's 19 not 12 so the age argument doesn't move the needle much. The on the spectrum part you cited earlier is a fair take.

I think it's pretty clear you were trying to factor age into the equation. Greta is literally by definition an adult here and even of drinking age in her home country. My initial reaction was that apparently there's been a fair amount of "Ooooooh, BURN!" from people over a decidedly trite retort. He deserved a comeback (which we've both, and likely most everyone agrees on) but it was hardly worthy of Mae West. Hell, if you go back and reread my original post it was much more about the ??? from those treating this as some clapback for the ages than a personal stab at Greta. I thought the bit about recycling the pizza box way funnier.

If anything I actually conceded the point (that you brought up) that her being on the spectrum might change the equation of that somewhat and was something I hadn't originally considered.
