I'm not sure I've ever seen a great coach who needs such constant self validation.
unreal, but it's also a strength. Folks with such inferiority issues are always driven to do more. Can't be all bad. Our guy won a title and freakin laid down.

Wow, so no one can ever criticize anything Meyer ever does or they are not a Gator. He better keep winning big.

Wow, calling out an ex player because he doesn't think you are a football God, Urban is extremely brash...

True. It's what college football is these days, and I don't really mind it. Makes for some good entertainment.

Calling out Chizik for the Limo and Kiffin for the shirtless Junior Day and now one of the former Gator players. Someone has some paranoia issues.

Nice slanted view from an Auburn writer......as long as he continues to win football games, he can be an a$$. SOS wasn't the most friendly person either.

God I hate that Urban guy..
Me too. He's such a whiny little bitch. He needs to grow a pair and act like a man. He's got two titles in the past three years for crying out loud. Quit crying and bitching and coach next years team.

A former player was publicly critical of the coaches and the system. Current players took this personally and reacted in defense of THEIR coaches and THEIR leadership. In turn, Meyer stood up for his players.

I wouldn't expect Majors, Fulmer or even Kiffin to invite a former player back into the locker room to be around those kids.

As for the "Urban Cryer" crap, we sound like a bunch of sour grape crybabies. We just graduated seniors who never beat UF. In our last two beatings, the average score was 44.5 to 13. Tebow a hypocrite? Yeah, maybe. But all the whining on these boards is embarrassing and equally hypocritical.

very nice. Urban was no more standing up for his players than I was. He was quelling any public dissent with Urban, period. He's a whiny douchebag with an inferiority complex. Yes, his need to please drives him and it has worked. He has done a great job of augmenting Zook's base of players and developing a great football team. None of that changes who he is as a human being. If I'm a UF fan, I frankly don't give a shat about his personality. I want him to keep bringing home the recruits and winning.

Interestingly, both of his national titles are tainted for me. There were teams out there who could have handled UF, but the raggedy BCS system matched him up with lesser opponents. I don't believe his team could have beaten USC in either of its championship seasons.
