Everybody at his level is a narcissist.
Nope. They all have huge egos and tons of confidence.... that simply goes with the territory but his behavior suggests something beyond that. Something that is compulsive.

From here: Narcissistic Personality Disorder - HealthyPlace
Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder may include:

Grandiose sense of one's own abilities or achievements

Fantasies about having exceptional power, attractiveness or success

Sense of belonging to an exclusive group of people who truly understand each other

Need for constant praise

Expectations of special treatment

Exploitation of other people

Lack of empathy for other people

Envy of other people or a belief that you are the subject of other people's envy

Haughty or arrogant behaviors

Reacts to criticism with feelings or rage, shame, or humiliation

Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder may come across as conceited or snobbish. They often monopolize conversation. They may belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior. When they don't receive the special treatment to which they feel entitled, they may become very impatient or angry.

While you would say some of these are merited... the ones in italics are most telling to me.

Some of the other traits I suspect but haven't directly witnessed.

Sure, but not everybody at his level has such a thin skin and is so uptight about everything. Most elite coaches exude a confidence so absolute that, no matter how intense they are, they end up seeming pretty relaxed about everything. But Meyer always seems to be leading with his chin like a teenage girl, looking to be offended somehow. It's weird.

Urbie thinks he is bigger than the program so he relates criticism of his play calling/game planning to criticism of the program. It's sad that someone who has accomplished so much has such narrow shoulders.

Even if that were true... and it isn't... They always play ND and for the last 3 seasons their OOC schedule has been made up of BCS conference schools. I'm not sure they've ever scheduled an FCS school... something most SEC schools do every year.

USC monkey stomped Auburn twice in OOC games

Crybaby...what a baby...I have seen more tears in Knoxville since Urban has been kicking our tails, than I have ever seen come out of his eyes. But, Lane Kiffin will save us, with his wit, good looks, hot wife, and smart mouth. I cant wait. This should be a blast this season. I cant wait to embrace all the traditions of TN football, like the Vol walk, running through the "T", and singing rocky top all night after we beat florida, its going to be a blast......yeah we will see, what mr no wins ever in college football can do

Yeah,

His little pee pee contest reeks of narcissism. Hell he won 2 NC, I would be a little big headed if I did the same.

"Urban Meyer's not a Gator. He's a caretaker of the Gator program," Sileo said. "Most times these coaches think they're the programs, but really, the program is the players. That's the problem I have with coaches whose egos get too big for their britches. If Urban doesn't like it, that's too bad."

I liked this quote from the article.

They have won 2 NC in the past 3 years. What more do these douches want?
