Another bad apple (George Floyd case)

It may (or may not) help if the police came out and admitted that they have a problem.

I've not seen one cop or official even come within 10ft of saying that. The Thin Blue Line is perfect and doesn't need to be overhauled.
Social media posts saying as much have been posted here

I just don't know what other options there are at this point. Even after the killer has been arrested, buildings are still being burned to the ground, and stores are still being looted (although the cops did who sat there and watched should be arrested as well). Local police have retreated because of fear for their safety, at least that's what was said on Fox. The state and local leaders have lost all control.
I'm on the side that these protests are just people being wild now, but knowing how the military operates i don't see it ending well which will only make things worse. If they do mobilize I do see Trump declaring Martial Law

I don't recall seeing a protest that was productive, not in my lifetime at least. I don't have a problem with them, though, as long as they don't turn into chaos like what we're seeing in Minneapolis.
No, you missed what I'm saying. You have no problem with people protesting because you know good and damn well that protests don't change anything. That is what I found to be interesting.

You seem to have no issue with people engaging in worthless political activism.

It seems to me there is a struggle going on internally with Minneapolis. A hands off approach but when enough damage is done to business and federal buildings are in danger business and federal government start to demand an answer/reaction. It seems the police and national guard have been deployed reluctantly. We'll see what happens from here out.

On a side note, how much more damage could these riots have done to the businesses that have already been shutdown for 2+ months because of the China Virus?

I think protests are almost always stupid. I think I already said that in another post. My point is that I'm not going to throw a hissy fit over a peaceful, lawful protest.

Big business, the kind that can bend the ear of government should be fine if run by competent executives. It's the small guys and small chains that will fold, but they usually don't have the ear of local or federal government.

Yet another injustice that is placed on the necks of the people.

Now who do the little guys air their grievances to?

Its serious. I would expect a Joe Gamaldi or a high profile cop to come out and say that we have issues with policing in this country.

That will not happen, though because police are perfect.
No one says police are perfect but you imply that all police have issues

Every profession has problematic people so I’m not sure what they are suppose to admit. If someone finishes at the top of their class in med school then ends up pedaling opioids you don’t know it until they do it. When a teacher with an impeccable record screws a 12 year old you don’t know they’re gonna do until they do it.

The insurance companies who are big business and are among those companies attempting to kick the rear ends of local and federal government into acting.

Who’s gonna come out and say we have criminal/lawless culture issue in black communities?

Good point. That would require accountability, which is something lacking throughout all of society right now.

There is enough blame to go around on both sides. But the problem is that you will not see a lot of the Blue Lives Matter people admitting that police have serious issues, nor will you see the Black Lives Matter people admitting that there are internal issues with the black community that need to be addressed. So if you have two sides that are too stubborn or too proud to make these admissions, this is the end result you end up with.
