Myrtle Beach. We’ve had 2 arrest today. Very limited mostly peaceful protests today which is a good thing. I think the fear is that Charleston was the same early yesterday and got really bad last night. The amount of gun crimes committed by young black gang members has escalated a great deal the last few weeks around here and it was already becoming a pretty hot button issue.

What I find is stunning and this should bother many of you as well, but the lack of concern from the liberals on the board. This should tell you a lot about the ones the seem melancholy about the rioting and anarchy. Watch each comment they make.

I'm more liberal than most of the posters on this board and I hereby declare that rioting is bad and it's absolutely unacceptable to harm innocent people, their property, or their businesses. Does that help?

There was a point where nothing on those lines was necessary. The police could have just moved in and arrested the whole crowd. They had the numbers and the gear. I am familiar with trained protesting and I understand that some of the people involved in the worst of the activity will make the police use force to subdue and arrest them, but that is their choice.
