Probably a good thing we are playing Ole Miss due to their RPI and all the other bubble teams losing (Northwestern, MSU, Washington and whomever else). If we beat Ole Miss we may be able to get in on that alone if we play Vandy tough. If we had to play AU, then we would have DEFINITELY had to win 2 games.
I really don't see UGA beating Vandy tomorrow. Vandy matches up with them very well. I'd actually bet a lot of money on Vandy tomorrow.
Agreed on the ole miss/auburn debate. Ole Miss would be another top 100 RPI win. Beating Auburn really wouldn't help the resume. And same thing goes for Vandy/Georgia. UT really needs Vandy to win that. If UGA does, UT might have to win the championship game to make it in.
Not sure if already posted but
Joe Lunardi's latest Bracketology update - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN

I saw something lunardi said that it's proven that the NCAA rarely takes a team under 500 in conference, but including the conference tourney.
If this is true, then seton hall should not make it.
Correct?
IMO, I think we can throw the RPI / matchup thing out the window. Basically, Tennessee is staying put or moving up to pretty much every bracketologist. Seton Hall / Mississippi State, teams done playing like that have no where to go but down. I think if we beat Ole Miss tonight, we are in. Beating Vandy just improves our seed.
I think a lot of this is waiting on our game.
A good showing tomorrow and I think we jump right in no problem. Over Drexel and Washington for sure IMO.
You are correct, the only reason we haven't moved significantly is because we haven't won any games this week. I still feel we have to win twice to go dancing with our rpi where it is. GBO
The rpi is our major concern and if we won both games (Auburn lost) it still would not have raised our rpi enough to get us in the dance. Remember our win over vandy only moved us 5 points.
