P.S.-This is also for one year only-we have to have 133 historical days every year and even more historical days later in the contract. If you look at the Nike contract that number falls later on in the contract so we have to have even higher historical days just to break even. We got hosed. BOT, you are a bunch of geniuses.

What a marvel of design. Nike must be putting their crack team of interns on these. Got that swoosh everywhere though.
That was my point-just swapping three stripes for swoosh for less money.Still don't get the criticism of Nike putting the swoosh on its uniforms. Adidas definitely isn't shy about putting its "3 Stripes" logo on all of its stuff. Also, it's not like adidas customed designed our women's soccer kits. Just go to page 174 of the adidas 2016 spring sports catalogue and you'll find it right there. All they did was slap our orange on it and some minor "Smoky grey" accents and that was that.
Great point. That's been my contention all along-lie after lie.I'm not really concerned about the swoosh, anymore than I was the three stripes for Adidas. What I find problematic is that, with all the talk about "One Tennessee", the soccer jerseys only have TENNESSEE in very small script on the upper left of the front of the jersey. No Power T anywhere on the jerseys or the shorts! No TENNESSEE across the back of the jersey at the shoulders!
If everyone is going to use the Power T, let's see it on the uniforms!

Disagree on the money issue, look at how it is structured.
Also, why would we swap and know that we would come out with less money in the end? More conspiracy that this was just done to kill the LV name and to burn down Knoxville?
butchna, I generally like you on other posts, but I just don't get you on this issue.
Back up and look at this: when a major corporation makes a big change in direction, they do it for a reason. And they don't do it because they think about public perception, or because they think that they're sending the wrong internal message to their (pick one: female/ male/ black/ white/ LGBTQ/ lefty/ righty/ whatever) employees. They're doing it for $$$.
I think that the BOT and whomever makes marketing decisions were convinced that going to one logo and color would bring in more money, and to hell with tradition, fan sentiment, athletes' feelings or anything else.
If you think that the be-all and end-all of decision-making should be possible corporate profit, well then, there you go. But there is nothing honorable in the decision-making process here. It's all greed.
Go Lady Vols, dammit.
I don't fault people for being emotional but in this case it's shortsighted. You'll always be able to call our women's teams Lady Vols but you're quibbling over the LOGO and what gets sold. Seems more towards that. "GREED" we're getting bent out of shape about. Except when SandVol claims we're doing it to lose money and get Hillary elected. .
It's going to be alright people...yell your blocks off for the Lady Vols in your Power T gear. :rock2:
Probably will only fire the women employees
They've had a firing raid on women employees only? News to methey've all ready done that
did anybody notice, they have all ready changed the power T ? I didn't realize it till i watched this Sunday

not much, but it is a start,so much for tradition
I know that Hart and company aren't going to change what most Lady Vols want.so I've tried to stay out of the discussions about it
they either don't care what fans and athletes think, or just want to push thru there idea of what it should be
a sad day either way you look at it
and I do believe that once CPS troubles get worse,Hart and Nike will do away with the Lady Vols logo,as soon as they can, just hide and watch them
I will do my best,to stay out of the discussions about it from now on,if I can :hi:
You're totally missing something when you laugh at people's emotion. "Emotion" is the main product an athletic department is selling, isn't it? All the "thrill of victory/agony of defeat", the whole thing with "tradition", the band forming the giant "T" - that's emotion pure & simple. Sports is pretty senseless without it.
The Lady Vols name, brand & symbols mean a lot to a lot of people. There are huge emotional attachments to them. The UTAD should be milking that, not dissing it. That would be the greedy, financial thing to do. So what the hell are they doing?
