What exactly does this mean?

Would Warren Buffet be a billionaire if he lived in Africa? Would Bill Gates be where he is if he didn't live at the right time and place for him to take advantage of emerging technology?

I think the point was that while these men are very intellectual and business savvy, the society where their circumstances came to fuition enabled them to do so.

Yeah the people that make the most shouldnt have to give back to the country that enabled them to be successful.
They most definitely should pay taxes . . . just not to the point that productivity is stifled for the sake of being able to buy votes on the bottom end of the income scale.

I understand it as it pertains to national defense, roads, and such things. "Giving back to the country.." without clarifying, kind leaves it open to you've made more than Joe so you can give more back so Joe can have some.

The redistribution of wealth and the entire idea of fairness/justice requires just as much moral indignation as a Christian who hates homosexuals. Both parties believe their line of reasoning to be true because that is all they have ever been taught. Some from idiot college professors and some from idiot preachers. Some from both at the same time.

You don't get all of the money back that you pay in, just what has been deemed over paid. I add money to my taxes every week so that I insure I get more back in my return - that's a loan at 0%.
