The only thing Clark does is shoot 3's. .. Kim studied her, and shot her down. When her 3's stopped coming, her game was over.

I disagree. Watched the 2 FF games and I was more impressed with her passing. She is pin point accurate and has great vision. The Iowa bigs got a lot of points from Clark's passing. And she is probably the best 3 pt shooter in WCBB.

When one player gets a lot of hype it brings out the haters but IMO she lived up to the hype. The real proof will come in WNBA.

I would say that is not correct. If you watched her play at all this year you see she penetrates to the hoop exceptionally well, something she was not able to do against LSU due to fouls, in the fear of picking up an offensive one.

I would say she’s also a exceptional passer averaging a NATION’S BEST 8.6. In three seasons her lowest yearly average for assists was seven.

And as a guard, she averaged 7.1 rebounds a game this year, the same as the highest on Tennessee, Horsten, and averaged 8.0 last year, which was 0.1 less than Key.

Therefore, she scores just under 28 points per game, second highest in the nation, she led the nation in assists, and she tied Tennessee’s best rebounder in rebound average. What part of that game would make anyone think all she does is shoot the three, albeit, her logo threes do get much press.

Good shooter and very quick. Nice player.

Not in same case as the three names mentioned, but that is an elite group of banner girls.

Actually, Mulkey said in an interview that her major goal was stopping Clark's drives to the basket. The 3's were inevitable, she said, but she believed they could do something about the way Clark scored inside--something SC failed to do.

She just did whatever it took to win championships and keep teammates involved. If we needed her to get 30 points, she would do it.
Candace was a all around player, she could average 30 if u gave her enough shots, no comparison at all.

That said, I'd say she's definitely better than Holdsclaw, who's strength was getting
offensive rebounds and putting them back in the basket--but not Parker and Catchings. Clark has to score
a lot for Iowa whereas that wasn't necessarily the case for Parker and Catchings.

Ok. Parker and Catchings are Hall of Fame players. Not a snowball's chance that CC gets anywhere close to that level.

The question specifically called out those three players to compare. So, Holdschaw is the only one to truly discuss

I don't care who is or isn't in the HOF, let's be clear: Holdsclaw was the greatest to ever play for the Lady Vols. You could make an argument for Parker, but as much as I love Catchings she's a distant third in this discussion.

Parker and Catchings accomplished more at the WNBA/USA basketball level (which is why they are deservedly in the HOF), while Holdsclaw's struggles with mental health during her professional career have been well documented. But going strictly by college performance and accomplishments, Chamique should be considered the undisputed Lady Vol goat...

Someone said earlier that all Holdsclaw did was score putbacks. That's way off. Chamique had a very good midrange game, very much like Rickea's. She also had that scorer's mentality and 3 nattys. Nuff said.

Catchings was indeed very different than CH and Parker. Could definitely score, but not the offensive powerhouse the others were. More of a Horston swiss army knife player and always played hard, played great defense, did many things well with supreme heart and hustle,

None of them could shoot from distance like Clark.

Honesty , is Catlin Clarke better than Candace Parker ?
Is she better than Chamique Holdsclaw?
Again , is she better than Tamika Catchings?
This post makes me so nostalgic and homesick for yesteryear. To answer your questions, my responses are
No
No
and No.

Candace Parker averaged 19.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.9 steals, and 2.4 blocks per game while at Tennessee. She also averaged 2 TO per game. She did shoot 58% but only 25% from 3 point range.
She could dunk with the best of 'em too.
