1. We will be better on Offense and Defense than last year! Scoring will increase and we will have more big plays (20+ yard plays) than the last 3 years. We will have more sacks than the last 2 years combined. We will blast Vandy too (not that that's a bold prediction!)

2. Florida and we will be competitive in the Georgia, South Carolina, and Oklahoma games late.

3. Hurd will rush for 1000+ yards, Malone will have 50 receptions. Mosley will have 5 INT.

1 the Vols play some Defense ,finally,not a whole lot,but it is there

i would go with Hurd,running backs stand out sooner, and
Todd Kelly on a late comer later in the season

Interesting idea of how the season would play out. Given your scenario, we would lose to:

Utah State
Oklahoma
Georgia
Ole Miss
Alabama
South Carolina
Vanderbilt

I could be wrong, but I think Utah State has been a trendy upset pick, but I think it has been a little overblown. JMO.

I'm curious why you pick VU to beat us. I understand their talent took a big hit with Franklin gone. My opinion is no more valid than yours, but I am interested in why you see losses to those two teams in particular.

I'm not picking Utah State because it's trendy. I'm picking them because they are better than we are right now. We return zero starting linemen, their QB is SEC fast and experienced, and injury or not, knows how to win.

I'm picking us over Florida because it's just time for the breaks to go our way in that series, and they're going to be missing a lot of offensive assignments all year with their new coordinator's scheme, and our lines will by then have just enough of a clue to make it possible.

I'm picking Candy every year til we beat them. They just own us right now, and it's at their place, and it'll probably be for their bowl eligibility unless they have an upset I'm missing on.

I like us versus Mizzou because although they will have the leagues top QB by that point in the season, Hurd and our OTs will no longer really be freshmen by that point and their new LBs are smaller and slower than their old ones.

So - I basically have the same record picked that Vegas does, but with a couple of unexpected wins and losses. We stand no chance of losing to Chatt, very little to ASU or Ky. We have zero chance of beating Okla or Bama, and about a 10% chance at Ga and SC. So, it's the others that really matter, and I think a young team like this will play over their own heads once and lower than dirt once or twice.
