Anthony Jordan (head official vs LSU)

I bet his Facebook inbox is being harassed by Tennessee fans this evening, since his picture circulated.

There aren't really "SEC officials" anymore I don't think.
There are not conference-affiliated officials, but they do tend to serve a home base conference for a majority of their games. They are independent contractors free to work wherever they please, but they are selected by the conferences head of officials. For the SEC, that is Mark Whitehead. He is the one who assigns games, IIRC.

I know an ACC football ref. He is a big Tennessee fan and can’t/won’t ref any Tennessee games, he doesn’t even ref the SEC because of it... My wife’s uncle is a former NBA/SEC ref and said an honest ref would never work a game in which they’re a fan of either team. This guy is clearly not an honest ref...

Pretty sure the SEC has had a policy in place where an alum cannot officiate his school’s games. In football, I think they also restrict officials from doing games within a certain radius of their residence.

I don’t know Jordan’s affiliation to LSU, but it’s unbelievable how bad the officiating has gotten. The SEC office is so arrogant and won’t fix the problems.

This might explain the immediate "make up calls" after the two Ts called on LSU. It was pretty obvious. It also might explain why they let Wade piss and moan like a school girl and never stopped it. Sad that the SEC office would let this type of crap happen.

Exactly right. I said when they happened, that Jordan clearly made two make up calls after calls against LSU. Wade was yelling at him.

This is kind of a big deal IMO
Cudos to Jayson Swain for bringing this shameful image to our attention. It also needs to be shared with national media in order to shine a high beam on the SEC league office. And, in the process, organize pickets outside TBA and make Anthony Jordan explain the picture and his obvious bias for LSU. This blatant, unprofessional conduct should not be tolerated! Enough is enough!

It would be interesting to note which other LSU games he has called. I wonder if LSU'S coach knew he had a friend calling the game as well. Probably why he did not get a technical foul.

And why Wade knew he could rant like a 3-year old being sent to the timeout corner! It is going to be fun now having a coach and team to root against.

For the people who say we shouldn't move on go ahead and waste your time the SEC isn't going to do anything about it. I've moved to ole miss.

I'm not a professional stalker so my skills might not be top notch, but I was able to find this guy's facebook page. This post is not on his timeline, so it is either fake or has been deleted?

We all have bias. It is better ... if we can recognize them and own them. Sometimes that is hard. It can be hard to see and accept them in ourselves. It's a hard truth. We learn and we move forward. AJ is learning that as we speak (deletion of the picture is not an admission of guilt ... it is a clear sign ... that he must own it and move forward). The tough stuff in life - does not define you and me... it can reveal us and our character to ourselves ... and sometimes to a much larger audience (seen any scandal in pro football or college?) ...

. . . and I’m sure he doesn’t have friends betting on any of these LSU games either.

I have a friend who is a big time gambler. When I asked him why the line barely moved once the LSU star missed the game, he immediately said Anthony Jordan....

This is becoming like the NBA when ref choice has more impact on a point spread than star player availability...
