I would be willing to bet he has a prenup. Not that anybody cares one way or the other.
And no matter what Mr Trump does in his post presidential life, he will be more successful at that than you will be at anything you have ever done.

Yes, but she was I'm sure going to divorce him over the pornstar thing. Publicly humiliating her like that.

So the payment is not for the breakup of the marriage. It's for staying with him through the tenure of his administration to save him the embarrassment of her leaving. That would have been a disaster for him. He is paying her to stay.
