you do realize that 2.2 ypc came against the best defense UT will see all season right?

I get the fact that the 2.2 came against a stout well manned defense, my problem is for as much attention and praise are O line gets, the product they put on the field is far from what I would expect. If you look at rush yards per attempt so far this season Lane is 72 on the list at 6.2. The guys are good and have talent don't get me wrong, but I expect better numbers.

What "key" area do we not have talent? You said talent, not even good or great talent.

QB... or at least we have not seen good QB play yet...and that has been enough to keep us very off balance..

We just got hope Worley gets it together

Maybe they wanted to see if Worley had actually improved as a passer since they knew the running game was working.

You may have heard the old saying "The running game opens up the passing game." That is what that was about.

Tiny getting mad at someone for trash talking him and letting it almost get out of hand is a little unsettling to be honest. Seriously, he should be over that by now. He's a 20 year old kid who has been playing football for at least the last 10. If you haven't grown a thick skin when it comes to trash talking by now what on earth are you going to do in the pro's?

To put it in perspective, the Jets fans once booed Chad Pennington while he was standing on the sideline on crutches. His O-Line was so terrible they couldn't have blocked a good college pass rush and he got his leg crushed to pieces. If fans will boo a man for being hurt, what do you think they will do to a guy who is half ass blocking?

I am not going to criticize this staff this season BUT if I were to have a complant I thought we should have tried to run it one more time in that situation. If I remeber correctly it was 2nd down and we still had one time out remaining so we could have run and then threw for it on third down.

If I am learning one thing though about this staff is that they are aggresive and players are going to play it their way no matter the outcome.

I agree...I think the staff has probably put our young (Peterson) and struggling (Worley) QBs in some tough spots. At some point, up 24-7 and with your QB already throwing a pick in the red zone earlier, run the ball at least twice, maybe three times and take your chances they will stop you. Would have preferred that approach myself. But the team and/or staff can learn from it's mistakes and move on.
