Any chance McBee's scholly gets pulled?

Martin went from making no 3 pointers in his Freshman and Sophomore years to shooting 45% in his Junior and Senior years. No reason to think that McBee can't do the same, especially under the tutelage of a coach that did the same thing in his collegiate career.

while true, CM only shot 7 3's in his first 2 years. He had to develop the shot to change his game. I've never heard that McBee has troubles while in practice but he just can't take it to the games.

In a more structured offense which Martin likes 3s, I think McBee will thrive the next couple of seasons.

McBee is still riding the "3 against Kansas" train all the way into scholarship station. I'm sure he'll go off in the Rocky Top summer league and ppl will think he's deserving. I'd love to see Coach Zo bring in a couple of his own guys.

Will we have the Rocky Top league this summer?

I think that McBee might actually be better served in CCM's motion offense. With CBP's offense you had to be able to create your own shot, which is something Skylar simply couldn't do. I'm not saying that we will see drastic improvement, only that in a motion system, he may actually be able to shoot a few more open shots.

We are going to be desperate for players. Tobias and Scotty will be gone. 5 seniors gone. And I doubt our commitments will come. Promise nobody will have their scholarship pulled. Its more likely Mcbee will have to start next year.

Proir to Pearl arriving at U.T., I don't remember Lofton or Bradshaw doing very well. Pearl put them in the position to succeed, so maybe, Martin can use McBee in a way that he can be successful!!!! Just saying!!!

It may upset you guys, but McBee may be Martin's kind of guy. He sucks, but he works like heck to get better. Isn't that exactly the type of player Martin said he wanted in his opening press conference? Other than the sucking part, of course.

Actually 33% from the 3 point range (which nearly all of his shots) isn't bad...equal to 50% from the 2 point area of the court. I'm not sure why someone who plays nearly every game isn't deserving of a scholarship. Plus, next year we are losing Fields, Williams, Bone, Goins, and possibly Harris or Hopson.

33% is very average especially for someone who is a 3pt specialist

On the other hand if he can turn SM into a player this coach has a bright future...

If coach Martin has recruits that he likes better than McBee will he let him go?

Is that you Michael? Didn't I hear you on Vol Calls last night? :)

But seriously, Coach said that the boys would get all the PT they earned.

Which is the way it should be IMHO.

GBO !

If he pulls McBee's scholarship then he can kiss goodbye recruiting any kid from Grainger county in the future which would absolutely destroy this program (sarcasm)

McBee will keep his scholly due to his work ethic and Zo's need of bodies. Don't see him getting much PT in the new system unless he starts shooting better to make up for his lack of talent. Zo preaches nasty D, hard screen/picks, and rebounding. McBee can't do any of those well. A stiff breeze knocks him down.
