Any news on Paul Harris?

Receivers today had a pretty rough day, Harris dropped a few in drills.

Butch and Company will be riding their butts when balls hit the ground, as they're trying to keep it between 15-18 balls on the ground.

Overall, the freshmen WR are getting high praise. Marquez is being praised, but also being called raw. Which sounds a lot like CP. Not saying he will be, but the things that are being said about him are similar (though not exact) to what was said about CP last year at this time.

I think Josh Smith and Croom are going to be our go-to guys this year. North will be our "break a big play every now and then" receiver.

It would be a terrible thing to have another WR as "raw" as CP...

Just amazing how some people are so quick, yea, eager to negatively judge our players. Harris may be on 3rd team as a discipline measure, or to keep him warmed up for rotating with one of the team 1 or 2 WRs. Or anything we don't even know about. But instead BUST is the first thing that comes to mind?

For my part, I hope he's doggedly refining his skills so he's capable of replacing any WR during a game if the situation calls for it and we have no drop off as a result.

If one is going to speculate about their team's players, at least speculate something positive.

Hey bud I was kidding (making fun of the idiots who think kids are busts if they don't start from day one)

I think he'll be a stud starting next year. Any wr wanting PT starting next year will have to be really good. Going to have a lot of athletes at the position fighting for touches. Playmakers will be all over the field

OK, I apologize for going after you. But if you are familiar with a lot of my posts, it's my tendency to be rather defensive of our players. Mainly because so many here are so quick to condemn them. My defect is that I really love our Vols. No homo.

Word is Josh Smith has been practicing with the first team also . If he can over come his nerves and drops he could see plenty of action. His speed and route running is top notch...

Someone has to be the receivers for the 3rd string q.b. If no receiver was on the 3rd string, then who would the 3rd string q.b. throw to?

Other players who are good have practiced with the 3rd string in the past. Such as Manning, at one point, when Colquitt & Helton were the 1st & 2nd string q.b.

Travis Stephens, when Lewis and Henry were the 1st & 2nd string.

If they catch and hold onto passes, move the chains down the field and score TDs, they can be blue skinned with pink and yellow stripes for all I care.

Jacob Carter would give us the hat trick on white receivers. Wonder when the last time wide receiver U had 3 white guys playing wide receiver.?

Not racist!
