Jolette was my first thought, too, but I'm not sure why she'd leave South Carolina, especially since she grew up there and I imagine SC is home.OMG, that would be absolutely great. For the recruiter, sooner the better. Jolette Law, come on down!!!
BUT - it's Maria.
I don’t post often. I have been a Vol fan since AM radio was the only form of social media available and a great source of frustration while trying to listen to my VOLS play. Bowden Wyatt was in his last year of coaching the Vols when I became a fan. Don’t google his name, it only means I’m old! I learned shortly after High School while serving in the Marine Corp it is often better to to listen than to speak, especially when you can’t forward the conversation. I have read a lot of things on this forum about coach Caldwell but not once have I heard the term leader! Leaders win and they always inspire those around them to reach or exceed their potential. I believe Coach Caldwells record speaks volumes to her leadership skills in developing young women as basketball players and future leaders. Her record speaks for itself regardless of what level. I can remember Marines crowded around a good leader in combat, it looked like crowds leaving Neyland after a big win! We all have doubts, I for one don’t on this hire. My memory slips me, I did say I was old. What was the name of the young man that started for the VOLS this past season from a small college in Colorado? How did that work out for us. A true diamond, a leader choosing a leader! I think the same just happened here just like football a few years back! GO VOLS! NO SUCH THING AS LADY VOLS! JUST VOLS!!!Have you shared this w AD DW? He's the one who said there would winning and competing for championships next year.
thanks for the post. we need more like this. i was literally just typing something similar. CKC won this job over others. it was not handed to her b/c of connections to the lady vol family or because no one wanted it. she is a leader and a force of nature. for now, i choose to support her while also reminding myself that I do not have all of the information. she does though.I don’t post often. Also would be odd with so much being made of getting away from the Pat tree, former Lady Vols etc...highly doubt that's the direction they are going. Seems like clean slate/fresh faces is the goal and that's not it.That would be a disaster. She got fired from here because she was failing at recruiting which was her main job.
