Any of you guys heard this about C. Patterson?

Was just told by a friend of mine that Patterson is in serious academic trouble and if you do make a bowl, he won't be eligible and more than likely just leave for the draft. Said for some ridiculous reason if he did come back, he would be in danger of being eligible in the fall too because he just doesn't care about school enough to try.

This is coming from someone who is in class with him.

You guys heard anything like that at all? How the heck is this possible at a football school????

Old news

The troll has blown his pipe and the rats are out to follow... Why don't you guys just follow Waco all the way to the dirty state of Florida...

Hey Waco, you upset that we are going to hang 40 points on a team that your Gators couldn't get more than 14 on with 4 interceptions?

If he's ineligible for bowl season he'd be ineligible based on a semester that hasn't yet ended -- final papers and final exams count for a huge portion of your grade so even if he's behind he still has time to make it up. Now then, if he did have trouble with fall semester, all he'd have to do to play next fall is bring his grades up in spring semester, miniterm and/or summer school. But he'd have two or three chances (if he did miniterm and summer school) to bring up his grades.

Finally, I've taught players from all sports and like any other student you will NOT get one word out of me on their grades. THAT is university policy and it is one of the few things seen as sacred -- information about a student's grades are as PRIVATE as a medical record. Not only that, at this point, not even the coaches or CP would know his grades for fall semester.

I suspect this rumor is based on the reason he went to JUCO (poor grades in High School) and not based on anything actually known about his college grades. And one other thing, plenty of students do poorly in high school and find themselves thriving in college while plenty of high school valedictorians have flunked out. It's a different world.

Bless your heart Jake. I bet a majority of the Vol fans on this site will agree with me when I say it doesn't matter how you win, it just matters that you WIN.

We are 8-1. Would you take that if it meant only scoring 14 points in a win?

I hate Florida, but I have to agree with you there. I have been thouroughly convinced all year that Florida should have lost 3-4 games already, but they have found ways to win. I would much rather say that than Tennessee should have won 6-7 games by now but found a way to lose...

Precisely the point........like I'm suppose to apologize for winning 8 of 9 games because we didn't do it with offense.

To understand CP, you must first watch Forrest Gump:

"That kid may be the stupidest son of a ***** I’ve ever seen, but he sure is fast! ... "

Ok. You are correct, I would rather win than the alternative. But there is no circumstance that would allow me to root for the Florida Gators.

EVEN IF I graduated from Florida with alumni parents(do ppl from Fla graduate?), born and raised in Gainesville, lived in a swamp, dated my sister, or any other things that make you a diehard Gator, I could still not wear anything resembling jorts or fla colors.

I dont envy you Waco, I feel sorry for you. Like when I see a slow kid repeatedly walk into a sliding glass door...

Yea, especially the last line. Like even if we hang 40 on them, we will lose by 7...

And no offense on the Fla comment, 99. I just really cannot stand Waco. He starts 3 threads at the same time, and it's always some negative crap. Like our best player's grades, or the Vols returning Vandy tickets with no link or proof.

Just him trollin', 24/7. Go back to your own site or add something intelligent and noteworthy to the conversation ---- like you typically do.

The world is full of good and bad trolls, I assume.

Indeed. The problem is many in society take sports the same way he does, but could care less about the direction of the country or their families.

Not saying he does, but his attitude is symptomatic if a bigger issue with college football. Can name all the players on the team and every hot-shot recruit, but can't name any of the major issues in a presidential campaign.

For a "gatorhater" you seem to be batting for the wrong team there, bud...

No, it's called recognizing there are a million things more important in life than how your college football team does on Saturday, or whether they beat a rival in a particular year.

just by your posts, it seems to indicate that losing to Florida or Alabama makes you more upset than Obama being elected President for another 4 years.

Point is, it ain't worth it chief.

Couldn't agree with you more. Wait, I thought Florida people weren't intelligent?
