Any of you guys heard this about C. Patterson?

Indeed. The problem is many in society take sports the same way he does, but could care less about the direction of the country or their families.

Not saying he does, but his attitude is symptomatic if a bigger issue with college football. Can name all the players on the team and every hot-shot recruit, but can't name any of the major issues in a presidential campaign.

Irony...

Oh, so because I am on a Sports RELATED website, in a forum category labeled "Tennessee Football", I take football too seriously and can't have an intelligent conversation about anything else?

Please, Waco, enlighten me. What would you like to discuss? Please, though, move it to the forum titled "the Pub", as that is where these types of conversation should take place.

Don't mean to talk politics but I felt worse when I found out who won president than the opponents that won against Tennessee.

No, it's called recognizing there are a million things more important in life than how your college football team does on Saturday, or whether they beat a rival in a particular year.

just by your posts, it seems to indicate that losing to Florida or Alabama makes you more upset than Obama being elected President for another 4 years.

Point is, it ain't worth it chief.

Dude, I wish I could buy you a beer right now! GBO though.

Waco, You have a high school education, live in the state of Tennessee and have never set one foot onto the University of Florida campus. You have plenty of your own problems to worry about. Please stop worrying about the vols. Perhaps a job would be something you might wish to consider?

No, he is simply suggesting that since you speak like a child, then it wouldn't be surprising if you were a child.

You're the one that keeps talking about Obama.

Take that crap over to the politics forum.

Waco, it has nothing to do with football at this point. It has to do with a certain TROLL (you), coming onto a UT sports website, starting multiple threads just to stir up things to upset an already troubled fanbase.

Not at all........but I'd be willing to bet that you lose your mind when Tennessee loses to Georgia, Florida, Bama, or loses in general to the point of your attitude not being a good reflection of who you generally are as a person.

I'm just giving you some life knowledge. It ain't all about college football, "hating your rival with a passion", and your life revolving around what happens to the Vols on Saturday. Again, if you get more upset about a Vols loss than what is happening to our country, something isn't right.

I'm going to assume you are still fairly young and I hope..........hope.........that the attitude of "Tennessee football winning or losing means everything" will change down the road.

We all were probably like that at some point in our life, and probably reacted the same when someone told us "it ain't worth it" and we didn't listen. I'm telling you that in the grand scheme of things, our team winning or losing doesn't mean anything in the things that really affect us.

1. Thanks, but no thanks.

2. It is when you are in a forum titled, "TENNESSEE FOOTBALL"!

3. Mama's Wrong, Again!

4. Save it for the boys and girls club. Which I am sure is part of your court-mandated punishment.

Thank you, 99. I don't know how it got so political in here all of the sudden. I am fairly sure I never made a statement about not caring who my president is or voting.

I actually did vote, and my candidate lost. But that's not what this forum is for. Kind of what I have been trying to say for 2 pages.

I don't like Florida gators. I agreed with him not his team. Because I am vol fan I do not think like all vol fans. Just relax dude

You seem to be completely oblivious to my point, however.

From previous experience, the guy comes to this website to insight trouble in the fanbase with threads like this one and others.

I realize I am probably wasting my e-breath on him, but I really get tired of the trolling. I don't go to the Fla fan forums and bring up potential issues with their players or team and expect the same from him.

He is more than welcome here, as long as he can add something useful like many of our other members supporting other teams.

Was just told by a friend of mine that Patterson is in serious academic trouble and if you do make a bowl, he won't be eligible and more than likely just leave for the draft. Said for some ridiculous reason if he did come back, he would be in danger of being eligible in the fall too because he just doesn't care about school enough to try.

This is coming from someone who is in class with him.

You guys heard anything like that at all? How the heck is this possible at a football school????

This is why I've been saying he's gone to the NFL no matter what his draft stock is.

As talented as he is he had almost no interest at all from schools when he was in HS because his grades were so bad.

Then seeing that some thought he might not even make it to UT this past summer when he knew he had to hit the books hard made me realize he'd more than likely be a one & done.

Not a surprise at all. Wish we could see him in orange another year but he's gone. Wish him the best. He's the type of guy that will see his draft stock soar after the combine. Not many guys with his size & speed.

Mizz puts the nail in dooleys coffin tomm I am afraid. Not surprised players would not be eligible under Dooley. They threw the Kentucky game last year cause they knew they could not play last years bowl game.

This thread needs the axe. It has as many inappropriate comments in it as I have seen in a while. All speculation.
