Any old timers….

As someone who would usually agree, I'll be beyond pissed if we lose to them this year. As long as I've been watching this game (about '06) I've never felt better about winning than right now.

Old timer here. Don't remember a FL team that looked this inept. Ax me again after our Saturday DEBUT. I'd take TN by 20+ in 2 weeks right Now though.

2014, 10 TO 09 LOSS was about the worst UF team I seen through the years and they beat us in Knoxville.

Can you remind me who the coach was that year? You were talking about 2013 though, right? Same incompetent coach btw.

The Florida game has always been the one I want to win most. If we don’t win, seems like it starts the season on a bad note. I don’t hate them as bad as I used to, but still…

I watched the first half of last night’s game, and thought both teams showed they could make big plays. They were playing in a packed, and loud, Utah stadium.

I have great faith in Coach Heupel, but I don’t know how our QB will play. We know he’s got a big arm, but will he always throw to the first option, will he make accurate catchable throws, will he run, will he play unafraid to get hit, will he lead, will he play smart, will he stay healthy? He’s got to show me.

Great football teams depend upon a great QB, so I’m waiting to see how great we can be.

GOVOLS!!!

I'm 67 and feel older everyday....They played their best game of the season last year against us in Neyland and their QB had a career day....I fully expect them to do the same in the Swamp in 3 weeks....I remember for years watching FL look bad against inferior teams the first two weeks and reading from UT fans that they aren't that good and then ....they looked like a well oiled machine against us...

Do I think UT will win....Yes. Will I be surprised if it comes down to a one possession game at the end like last year....No.

Wishing folks would calm down about UF??

They will still be ready for UT.
I'm an "Old Timer" and I think the Vols win by 10. Lots of pressure on UF for that game. How do they respond to the pressure? They didn't do too well when the pressure was on at Utah, a team using their 2nd and 3rd string QBs and down a couple of other key players. UF's QB didn't look more than a game manager. They will have to play a near perfect game to beat the Vols. Will the players rally around Napier or will they harbor doubts about his ability to lead them. He has not shown he is up to the job to this point in his tenure. If they lose, they will have a new coach by year end. Their recruiting class will be in disarray. Lots of negativity and not much to build on.

Old timer.. yeah that’s me.
When I was younger, Florida football wasn’t even on the radar. VOLs didn’t even play ‘em often. So “getting in their head” has always been their problem, yeah football goes in cycles, now it’s BIG ORANGE time !!
Napier ain’t no spurrier

Come on people! Tennessee under Heupel is a vastly different team than they were pre Heupel. The team is so much better prepared than in the last 10+ years. The athleticism is improved by a good margin over those teams. I fully expect a big win on the 16th.

I don’t like to consider myself an old timer, but upon approaching 48, I have some years under my belt of getting beat by Florida—often in games we should have won. We still have to see what WE look like this year as well.

Man, you still a pup! Now when you get to be my age, 70 as of June, then you are a registered old timer.
