Anybody here think we will beat JawJaw next Sat??

I don't really think we stand a chance against Georgia. South Carolina is a team I could see us upsetting. We just match up a little better against them.
We match up better against USC than we even do with Missouri.

We'll be fine until they start hitting our edges, then we wont be able to score enough to keep up. It'll be close for 3 then we lose by 15

Find some suspicious brown marshmallows in your cheerios this morning?

Mark Richt is still their coach. Anything is possible.

If we can churn out a few first downs early and take care of the ball, I think that's exactly how it plays out. The UGA defense will bust at times.

I agree with this. I think Georgia is more of an off tackle type offense and less of a perimeter. With USCe, they run more of that perimeter offense with Shaw and the read option.

I think our defense's strength is in the middle. With that said, Georgia has some of the best running backs in the country right now.

We will play them tough, but it's likely we will lose. There's still too much of a talent gap between them and us. We will have to play mistake free and hope they have multiple turnovers for us to have any chance.

In a couple of years, the talent gap won't be so wide

UGA is clearly better than us but, I think we catch them at a great time. That said, UT will have to play the game of their lives to keep that one within 17. Richt's teams always have a letdown though and UT generally has owned him outside of the Dooley era.

There is just something about Georgia and SC that never scares me. Maybe I was a product of the 80's and 90's in regards to TN football, but no matter the rankings of either team (or ours) the game always seems to be close in most years.

WHile this is true, our discipline is way better than anyone in the league. What have we had this year, 7 penalties. Remember UGA the game Bray got hurt? 5 holding penalties in a row. If I remember correctly, UGA always racks up penalties in Neyland. I would love to see how many penalties we will have after 3 home games. Gotta be less than 5.

Georgia will steamroll the interior of Tennessee's depleted defensive line. The Vols lack of depth will show early and often unfortunately.

I am looking forward to seeing how we play today. If we could get Maggitt and Vereen back to full strength and the two new guys that joined the secondary could help we do have a chance. Defense has weakness of stopping the outside run and containing the QB. If we get some help we might contain Murray a little better than we have others.

I think we may beat UK. Not another win though unless CBJ plays one of the freshmen QBs and they are awesome.
