I feel that our assistants are underprepared for the roles that they have been thrown in for the most part. I feel like butch is the man, but I feel it may difficult for him to cut ties with some of them when it comes down to it.. I feel like we may need to make a change at DC and maybe even OC when the year is over. I expect that no one will be fired at the end of this year, but another mediocre year, and things will have to change... Will Butch fight for his assistant coaches? Or is he all in at doing what it takes to save his friends from losing their jobs?

It just seems to me that butch is very very loyal as he kept most of his coaches from his old staff.

Stupid thread is stupid.

Jancek and Bajakian aren't going anywhere, nor do they need to.

It's many of the players I don't believe in. Seen the same thing for 3-4 years from the same individuals. Until personnel changes then the outcome won't change no matter who the surrounding staff is. Many of them just simply aren't very good.

I do not trust our assistants anywhere near as much as I trust Jones. Next year will tell the ale IMO. If there is not significant improvement then replacing the assistants will be a valid conversation.

The only way I would say get rid of our current assistants is if one of the premier assistants wants to come here like Chavis, Mushchamp, Smart or Frost.

Aside from possibly Martinez, yeah, I believe the assistants are qualified enough to know what they're doing.

The only assistant that I'm really disappointed with is Mahoney. Haven't been impressed with the OL play at all this year. To have such a talented group of veteran linemen regress the way they have this year is a little upsetting to see. Maybe it's due to the change of system, but the OL has been a letdown this year to say the least. With the majority of our line being fairly inexperienced next year, it's hard to feel confident about him leading the OL next year. However, I'm willing to give him a chance.

These guys deserve a chance to coach the talent they're working so hard to get.

If they can't do that in a year or two then look to upgrade.

I believe in Butch more than the assistants. I don't think either coordinator has been especially impressive, but think about it. Offense started inexperienced players at all skill positions, players on defense didn't change much from the worst UT defense in history, all players learning new systems and facing one of the toughest schedules in college football. I'll give them some more time before I judge them.

Yes I believe in them. Don't even know why you would bring this up. These recruites are what Dooley left over. Butch has the #2 recruiting class in the nation right now. Let's get some real good players in here. Saban and his coaches could not be any better with this team. By the way Worley started what two games last year and now we have another freshman starting. We will be a lot better next year.
