Given all the coaching hires that just occurred.....securing this class is very important to the USC football powers that be given how potent it is...then go for the big fish next year.
Paraphrasing here, all Tennessee fans should be aware of an old Chinese saying that seems to have particular relevance in this thread: "Man who sits on river bank long enough will eventually see the corpse of his enemy go floating by."
Everybody get on Fulmer, best coach we had in 60 years won a NC competed for the sec year in year out, look where we are at now.lol:
Um, because he stole recruits on his way out, and basically destroyed the program for years to come.
Mmmkay?
It's time you Kiffin defenders got over it. He screwed Vol Nation. On purpose. With malice and aforethought.
We'll hate him forever.
p.s. You guys mentioned hating Dooley instead.
Dooley gave his all for the program. He tried his best. And he left it in much better shape than he found it. In the end, he blew it. But to me,
Dooley > Kiffin.
p.s. If you think Dooley would have gone worse than 7-7 with USC's talent and schedule this year, you've lost it. There's no doubt, in my view. Hell, he went 5-7 with our crappy team and horrendous schedule. It's safe to say he would have gone at least 7-7 at USC this year. So...
In all cases, Dooley > Kiffin.
I've never been much of a Lane Kiffin fan (nor most of his recruits)...so I enjoyed seeing him get beat by a southern team....with a very so-so record.
I remember him running M Hardesty 4 times from the 2 against UCLA and we didn't score. The defensive tackles who are in the NFL were their strength...and he ran right at them 4 times.
At that point, I began to think that "maybe this guy is over-rated". I think I was right.....and I think good ole' Al Davis was right about Kiffin too.
I'm watching this game and loving every minute of it!
I hate that smug POS.
