Anyone else mad Dooley burned Worley's redshirt?

I like Worley, his steadiness, humbleness, and ability to manage a game, as we saw Sunday night. But I have all the confidence in the world that Peterman will be a solid QB for us next season.

Hey, nobody ever said the Doolster was a smart at coaching (I mean, he did graduate from law school, so I assume he's smart when it comes to something?? That thing did not prove to be head coaching.)

Dooley's bigger mistake was picking Fergy. I believe there were red flags that would have caused CBJ to look elsewhere.

But since he was already committed and time was limited CBJ kept him.

Not mad about it. I respect Worley and thank him for being a tough and patient VFL. But what I like about college football is, you just never know what next kid is coming along in a year or two.

Keep in mind.. Still 39 players from the Dooley era on the roster...Outside of this year starters, not many moving forward

Thot it was ridiculous when JW entered the game against Bama. Game was lost and it wasn't BC of our QB only.

JW is gonna just get better and should have gotten another yr were it not for a coach w no real plan. Mentioned this red shirt issue last year and got laughed at. Tapping out.

I was angry when he did it. And, I'm still angry about it this team could be really good next year with a fifth year QB lea dinging the way.

Dear Lord, I couldn't agree more. Boo freakin' hoo. The University of Tennessee is worried about not having their current true frosh QB around in 2015? We SHOULD have a few more stud QB's walk through those doors in the next few years. If not, we have bigger problems than our unproven QB's 2015 season.

Being mad at Dooley for burning Worley's redshirt would be the same as being mad at Jones for burning Dobbs' redshirt.

For all we know Peterman may come in next season (or this season), and guide our way to a 8-10 win season. However, it was still an idiotic decision to burn Worley's redshirt in the fashion that Dooley did.

Not exactly. Dobbs' redshirt had to be burned.

Likewise with Worley. It made sense to try and win with Worley rather than trot Matt Simms back out there to stand in the pocket too long and get sacked.
