Anyone excited about a Phillips and Estrella front line next season?

Exactly. I think this is Boswell’s team next year if he chooses to stay. I hope he realizes that he didn’t get on the floor a lot this regular season because of Ziegler’s ability to play nearly all 40 minutes and Gainey being first guard off bench.

I hope if Barnes stays another year, he lets Boswell know he’s the PG of this team
Most of the insiders say Boswell gets recruited over.

Barnes is not retiring. They are in on 3 top level recruits with a good shot at least with one of them. Also have identified multiple players for transfer that are all good scorers. Evans and Brown are good recruits coming in as well.

Cade continuing to develop and a healthy Estrella could be lethal. Barnes being an "old school" coach might like to see these two guys through, implementing a heavy inside/outside offense????!!
Where's the "outside" coming from? Who do you turn to for your outside shooting? Who replaces ZZ? Still a long way to go for rebuilding this roster thanks to some of our recruits moving to perceived greener pastures.

Ncaa is leaning towards all athletes getting 5 years as part of NIL and also allow kids to further degrees. Redshirts would be part of 5 year.
That ain’t happening at least not this year. Hardly a month ago now it was reported that no such proposal has even been brought to the table.

If he retires, who knows what our roster will be next year. Coach Barnes is the type of guy that has already discussed this with our AD, so hopefully wheels are turning already if he has decided this year is it for him.

I hear you but I would hope Barnes announces his retirement, at least, one full season ahead.
Maybe he has privatley. It would be very much within Barnes' personality to not want to take recognition and the spotlight from this senior group and from Bob Kessling and Bertlekamp who are retiring.
