Anyone notice what K. Salter did yesterday in Liberty's conference champ. game?

Pot smoking and premarital sex at a conservative evangelical university? Next, you’ll claim the “Flames” refer to not so closeted homosexuals. Liberty is a den of sin where a quick prayer of acknowledgment and acceptance of Christ’s sacrifice gets you ready for another day. Alrighty then.

You wonder what?

Did you know that home values are significantly higher (and much higher growth in value) in areas with legalized marijuana sales, and areas where it is illegal suffer significantly lower home values?
Thank you for the advice, Mister Realtor.

I had a blast at UTK . Did way more partying than I should’ve and there were definitely some touch n go moments where the Gpa was not great .Hell my roommate grew weed in his closet in The Fort, but he didnt get into a similar situation. My point was not about going to college. It was going to college at Liberty after you’ve already been thrown out for what Salter was thrown out for. That’s not normal behavior. That’s not “well I’m away from home and I’m going to lash out”. I’m guessing he’s probably on a short leash and he was sent to Liberty to have an environment where it’s less prevalent. I honestly figured most people at Liberty have a higher code of conduct than at most universities because of its religious ideology. That’s all I’m saying. I know kids are kids .
I don't disagree with you, but they hahred Hugh Freeze

The only reason it's still illegal is fear of the unknown.

The worst thing Marijuana does to the user is cause them to sleep too long or eat too much food.

Ask any police officer which they would rather interact with, someone that smoked weed or someone that is drunk on alcohol.....
What I've found since the push to decriminalize pot is those who favor decriminalization will ignore or dismiss any stat, or data that refutes their belief and vice versa. Many of the states that relaxed the pot laws ( Colorado for example ) have seen an increase in automobile accidents where drivers were under the influence of pot. Medically, pot causes psychosis, lowers sperm count, and shrinks the testicles and can't be good for the lungs when smoked. It's hard to imagine anyone participating in any athlete contest putting any kind of smoke *( vape/pot etc) into their lungs. Makes no sense.

You've posted this about "Flames" twice in the past several hours. It's an allusion to The American Crisis, Rusty.

Big game... 20-25 319 yds 2 TDs, 12 car. 165 yds rushing. Makes you wonder what he might have done in Heupel's offense, if he'd kept his head on straight.

Level of competition is just a bit different in that league.

You might want to put down your stone and read those passages about judging others. But, before that, remove that log out of your own eye so you can see the words.

He was involved first in the "dorm break in and weed robbery" that eventually "never happened" and got his leash shortened. A few weeks later he was stopped in a car full of weed smoke and with a little weed in the middle of the night.

I'm glad he got his discipline issues worked out or found somewhere (maybe it's legal in VA?) that tolerates weed differently.
It is legal for recreational use in VA

I just remember his dad or some family member getting really sick from COVID when they brought him to Knoxville and VolNation and other Vols fans stepped up to support the family and the GoFundMe account.
Agree. Vol nation went to bat for this kid like no other and yet he was too immature to act like an adult. He wanted to run around “keeping it 100” and being an idiot.
This kid would’ve likely been our quarterback this past season had he not wanted to be a gangster, and cared so much about a meaningless reputation.

I am happy for him, that he at least has taken advantage of his second chance and seemingly gotten focused on his future. But an opportunity lost for him and for us.

Possession of small amounts is legal in VA…selling any amount is not. Liberty has a vey strict substance policy.

IMO, Heupel did Salter a huge favor by dismissing him and showing that actions have consequences. I suspect Salter also has had an active monitoring program at Liberty to make sure he doesn’t backslide.

My impression was that Salter came from a pretty good background but was, at the time, a little too immature for the situation he stepped into. Wish him luck.
VA has a pretty lax "adult sharing" law. There's dispensarys all over the Bristol side of VA. Basically you go in, spend $x on a t-shirt or sticker or CBD and they "gift" you whatever it is you want, up to 1 ounce. Must be 21 though. And I am speaking from experience.

And Penix looked mighty good, too. We've made many a mistake with QB recruits that mostly benefited Clemson. Just hope we got it right with Nico.

Waiting for the new place to open adjacent to the casino!!

Of course, had Salter stayed here it’s highly probable Heupel would’ve chosen Milton over him, and never even given him a real opportunity to win the job…no matter how many hundreds of times Milton has proven he’s a horrific passer. Sucks

Nah, Milton probably transfers again if Salter stayed.

Wonder what his stats would look like if he played Georgia Alabama etc
Hard to say. I was just wondering how he would've done with Heupel coaching him in this offense. The level of competition is definitely like comparing apples to oranges for sure.
