?..... Ok I know CBJ has done nothing for us on the field YET. Assuming the on field progress goes as well as our image and recruiting have under CBJ. Is there any other collage coach you would rather have right now. (excluding what many would consider the best 2 and biggest 2 a$$es Saban,Meyer)

I ask cause I like many was skeptical at the hiring of CBJ, but have been totally wowed by what he has done so far. And couldn't imagine right now wanting anyone else to be our coach.A complete turn around from when he was hired. I'll hang up and listen.......GBO,VFL

What kind of question is this? You're asking us what coach we would trade for our brand new coach that hasn't coached a game yet??

No I'm saying in my mind it has been a complete turn around from his hiring. Of me being skeptical of him as our coach. To now as long as the on field goes as good as everything else has. To me not wanting anyone else in America except CBJ!!!!!:good!:

Just wandering if anyone else feels the same. Like maybe he wasn't our 1st choice, but by all accounts now. It looks like not only the best get for us. But potentially one of the best out there. Again assuming the on field is as good as everything else has been.

I will take this rare opportunity to agree with allvol123.

I might take B Kelly. Sumlin looks pretty good. I liked Freeze.

But there really aren't many more out there that I would have any more hope in than I do Jones.

Am very happy with CBJ at the helm. He hasn't coached a game for the Vols yet, but neither has anybody else we could have hired. I can't imagine that another coach could have done a better job to this point.

UT is a GREAT platform from which any competent coach can build a great program. Fulmer made everyone think it was tough to recruit nationally, and got lazy. Kiffin thought u had to have a 3 ring circus to succeed. Dooley was an incompetent schmuck.

Sumlin, Freeze, Peterson, Paterson. There are several who would do well at UT. Had UT hired Kelly over Kiffin, people would be asking why it took so long to fire Fulmer.

This is true, and when we hired Dooley over Sumlin we missed out........BIG TIME

B. Kelly was there for the taking after Fulmer was fired. But we went with Kiffin. Guess Hammy never talked to B. Kelly.

Correct my Vol friend! I would not want any other coach at the present time and I hope years to come (when CBJ retires and is the winningest coach in college football history). CBJ is our coach and HAS EARNED our support until proven otherwise! We will RISE TO THE TOP!

CBJ is exactly the type of coach I wanted.

I don't want a guy who's been at several different schools (or even one school for a long time) without winning a national championship. Those guys have peaked.

We have a coach who's experienced, but still young enough and early enough into his head coaching career to have the fire and passion that successful college football requires--especially for rebuilding ailing programs like UT.

It's why I was so adamantly against someone like Gundy, Petrino, or Tubberville (shudder). Those guys would view UT as just another job.

I would rather have all of those coaches as a head coach over Butch Jones. Tennessee, apparently, agrees since they've tried and failed to woo several of them. If you'd like to opine as to why certain names I listed wouldn't be ahead of Butch Jones on your list, please do so.

Oh. Forgot to mention Petrino and Bielema.
