I do.

I couldn't find a box score but here's the game summary from wikipedia.

The game kicked off shortly after 7:30 p.m. CST, following the Rose Bowl on ABC, and shortly after the start of the Orange Bowl on NBC, which matched top-ranked Colorado and #5 Notre Dame.[5]

Less than six minutes into the game, Gary Steele scored from ten yards out for the Cavaliers to give them an early lead, though the kick was blocked. After the Vols punted the ball away, Jake McInerney added on to the lead with a field goal to make it 9–0. The Volunteers tried to strike back on their next drive, but quarterback Andy Kelly's pass was intercepted by Tyrone Lewis and the Cavaliers went to work once again, driving eighty yards in seven minutes, concluding with a Terry Kirby touchdown run that gave Virginia (who had forced three turnovers and had the ball for over 22 minutes) a 16–0 lead at halftime.

The second half started off small for Tennessee, with Greg Burke's 27-yard field goal to get on the scoreboard. The rest of the quarter was scoreless, but the fourth quarter saw 26 combined points, starting with a Virginia turnover that led to a Tennessee touchdown 94 yards later on a Tony Thompson run. McInerney added in his second field goal of the game extend the lead to 19–10. Kelly's touchdown pass to Carl Pickens closed it to 19–17. Virginia could only muster up another McInerney field goal, a five-point lead with 2:31 left. Kelly led the Vols down the field, driving 79 yards in two minutes, completing seven of nine passes for 64 yards. It ended with a one-yard Thompson touchdown run that gave Tennessee its first lead with 31 seconds remaining, although the two-point conversion pass attempt failed.[3][4] Kelly went 24 for 35 with 273 yards, two interceptions, but one touchdown, and was named the game's MVP.[6]

That 90 team had so much talent. May have been Majors best chance to win a national championship given it was an overall down year. Just needed a better throw in the endzone at the end of the notre dame game and the blocked fg not to roll back 30 yards against bama and we are undefeated. The two ties as well were also disappointing

I was there. UVA fans were cocky and arrogant. Their band was even disrespectful at halftime. When Tony went over the top the super dome exploded

I remember their band. I don't know if they are still like this or not, but at the time they were a Stanford Band wannabe, and were doing very obnoxious bits.

Their program that night was something like "A Tribute to NutraSweet." Because it was the Sugar Bowl, they thought they were hilarious. Presumably to mock east Tennessee, there was also a majorette in an over-the-top Dolly Parton costume. If that sounds sophomoric, that was what they were going for.

Andy Kelly was awful that night. When he was off ... he could really be a turnover machine at times.

I wasn’t there but I’ve watched a replay of that game. Seem to remember Kelly throwing several picks in the first half and us coughing the ball up a few times. Defense didn’t hold up their end in the first half either.

What a team though. Pickens, Big Charles, Thompson. That was a talented squad.

Watched the highlights. Ugly, ugly, ugly performance. Vols played a D- game and still found a way to win which is kind of incredible. Andy Kelly led an absolutely masterful drive at the end. It kind of reminded me of that team I hate more than any other playing LSU in 2012, where AJ McCarron played absolutely terrible the whole game. But when the money was on the table on the final drive, he found a way to get those darn red elephants into the end zone. That 1990 UT team was so talented. Andy Kelly, Carl Pickens, Alvin Harper, Tony Thompson and studs all over the defense.

Tony Thompson was okay ... but that season could have really been something special if Chuck Webb had stayed healthy.

As it was, it was merely a good season. It had no chance to be great after the egg we laid against Alabama in Neyland - one week after beating Florida 45-3.

Thompson had a monster senior year in 1990. That team had its flaws but they had some really good talent across the field.

Isn't that the game where Greg Amsler jumped over a Virginia player running the ball?
I can still hear Dan Dierdorf yell when that big white dump truck got in the air lol. We ate up Virginia getting in 4 WR sets (which was exotic back then) and checking it down to Amsler who was a straight up bowling ball catching it out of the backfield.

The game felt big because: A) Virginia spent a lot of time at #1 that season; B) ABC used the Monday Night Football announce team which was an iconic thing back in the day. Teams from the south didn’t register nationally back then quite like they do now.

Edit: Man, that reads like an old guy post lol.

The French Quarter has a tendency to leave one with a hangover. 😉

I was 7 and somewhat remember watching this game with my dad. He continually kept saying that the game shouldn’t be this close.
