Let them seethe and rage. It won't change a darn thing. Gillispie will (and should) be back. Just some in-house issues that he needs to resolve.

Hat, if UK were to fire CBG after two year what effect do you think it would have on the program?

The only reason I can see for firing him is the fact he is an rude to the media and he is not the "face" of the program they want him to be. Depending on if patterson comes back they could have a solid team next year.

Kentucky is very young, and their problems undoubtedly stem from immaturity. Next year will be much better.

I hate to see any fan group go through that. But, it only happens to the ones that are truly passionate about their respective program. I'd rather go through it (hopefully just once) than to never feel the fire your team ignites. There are lots of fans who will never feel the heat.

He'll probably have to do a lot more next year than squeak back into the Dance to get those guys to change their minds and give their support. If the former players and coaches are against him, then it's the beginning of the end barring a huge, quick turnaround.

I think you're right, but I'll bet he gets one more year with some stipulations: improved public/media relations and a demand for nothing less than a Sweet 16 appearance. If he fails, he's gone, Barnhart offers Cal the moon and stars to take the job, Cal turns him down, and UK ends up hiring Travis Ford.

I can live with that.

Can you?

You'd be happy with seeing UK hire the last coach that beat UT?

TF isn't the answer. BCG is still the coach at UK.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. BCG seems to be a good coach just not use to the animal that is UK

I talked to my father the other day, one of his old friends who is coaching here in mid Tenn says he knew of at least five or six other coaches who flat out refused to entertain the idea of coaching at kentucky for this very reason.

I was in Lexington over the weekend visiting my parents and even church was a UK war zone on Sunday.

It was actually quite funny!

Rumors are rampant today. There is so much conversation that it is impossible to filter out the noise.
