"Anywhere but Nashville", looks like the program has had its fill of the Music City Bowl officiating

There was issues with the old surface in September and October.

If they can maintain grass in Green Bay, they can in Nashville...
Eh different grasses and different zones. Most of TN is a transition zone. Not as easy as one would think, but any nfl program should certainly be able to figure it out.

I think the music city bowl would be an appropriate punishment for Heupel and the team for an underachieving season. It might even help build character and motivate them to play harder and coach better next season.

Please, please, please do not go to MCB. No good games are ever played in that facility
I thought the Purdue game was very entertaining. Unfortunately, it took well over 4 hours to play, due to OT and fake injuries (yes, we do it too - but in this particular game, it was much worse from the Purdue side) .... and the ending was marred by some very poor officiating, including from the replay booth. In every instance, it was Purdue who benefited.

The 2010 game vs North Carolina on the other hand .... Tennessee was just flat out hosed, and the officiating kept the game from ever having any type of flow to it.

If Tennessee's administration has taken a formal stance against our participation in this bowl .... then I'm pleasantly surprised by the rare display of some backbone. We don't get a fair shake.

Yeah… it’s even worse now… coconut… when kept properly, grass is a far superior surface to anything else… there’s a reason Neyland was converted back to grass. All artificial and substitute surfaces are good for are increased injuries.

Absolutely! Bravo..

Playing in Nashville again might help this staff recruit better in Nashville area. Other than Lipscomb, we've been less than influential at Nashville-area privates.

Florida bowls are for winners. Let them get a little taste of the cold, hopelessness, agony and despair I felt when watching them on the road against Florida, Mizzou, Alabama and at home against Georgia.

You’re trying too hard. Let’s pump the brakes a little bit on your bull$hit.

And that field is a train-wreck at the best of times, and by the time bowl season rolls around, it's even worse.

And the gouging was a nice middle-finger to Vols fans that live and work in the state - not to mention some might have been Titans fans.

Nothing like sticking it to the people who payed for the venue. How do the voters of Tennessee allow a $2B stadium to get built when the place is robbing us at the gates?

The school and the stadium are funded by the same people yet they treat our fans like Nashville tourists.

As with most things, look no further than the politicians and special interest groups.

Ultimately, it's on the voters for not being informed or not caring enough to get involved and educate themselves.

Hopefully the Virginia game checked that box off for us this year. Plus, it’s not like any kid in Nashville hasn’t had plenty of opportunities to watch or be in contact with the Vols. I-40 between Nashville and Knoxville isn’t that far

The UT Athletic Dept isn't tax payer funded.

The UT Athletic Dept isn't tax payer funded.

But the university is. Everytime an athlete steps foot in an academic building, uses the IT infrastructure, or walks on a university sidewalk, that cost is being partially subsidized by the taxpayers...

I suppose they lease the land then? The dorms, the offices, and the athletic facilities.

Not that I was claiming the athletic department is state funded. The comparison was intended to be between the people who funded the construction of Nissan Stadium and those who attend the music city bowl when TN plays.
