Well deserved. (who knew before the season they would be THAT good)
I did.
Anytime you have that much experience on the Dline - along with elite edge rushing talent -returning you will have the chance to be very good on defense.

With the divisional stuff no longer in play I hope we play and beat an undefeated Bama team.
This. Also we don't have near the history with UGA as we do with Bama. Between 1950 and the divisions in 92 we only played them 8 times. Anyone know the history with that? Seems odd considering Athens is closer than Tuscaloosa

Woke up this am and top story on ESPN.Go was the Colorado game. That made me smile. We have to keep this team hungry. Don't want a #1 ranking till after we beat GA, FL and Bama.

This team and staff seems to be locked in and preparing 1 game at a time. They have plenty to work on for preparing for Arkansas. Don’t think rankings mean anything to them. Coach has built a culture of prepare for the next game because it’s the most important. On a side note, Gilbert seems to be a reliable placekicker so far. Hope he continues his consistency on field goals. Turbyville on kickoffs are going out of the end zone consistently and needs to continue. Our punter had a good game on Saturday night. They need to clean up penalties on kick and punt returns. Open week comes at a good time hopefully we can get Heard and Seldon healthy. They are going to need them in October. Go Vols!

Maybe youre right. But i think its unlikely that either team is ranked 8th or lower.
Loser drops below Texas, the winner, Ohio St, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Miami, Oregon, Penn St That is 8th or 9th, If all the aforementioned teams stay unbeaten, which they should.

Boom!
Our D got us here!
Now the offense has to grow into what they are capable of!
Agree to an extent. The defense has been the best unit to date. But the offense has taken the foot off the gas, literally, every single game this year. We could’ve almost certainly scored 40+ last night. And while I know we won (and their field was horrible plus some really bad calls went against us)…it’s still hard to not understand taking a few more shots. Even Reese Davis at one point said the throw is there all night and not sure why we aren’t going to it more often. HerbStreet responded saying the game is already over and we don’t feel the need to press.
Regardless, my point is the offense is just as dynamic (maybe more) than the defense. This is a very balanced/complimentory team

Can't recall anytime where a top 10 team struggled at home playing Vandy. I'm sure Vandy fans will correct me.
Not sure if they were top 10. But the Gators had a few years where they squeaked by them. But can’t remember off the top of my head either
