I think placing UT in the 7 or 8 spot is about right. The only team with a loss ahead of you is Ohio State and they lost to #2 Texas. I think your ranking is fair.

Don't worry, with the games you have left you have plenty of time to move up.

my only beef with the polls is that we are ranked behind osu. yes, they lost to the #2 team, but our only loss was to a #5 florida team. we just beat the then #4 team in lsu and another sec opponent, neither were pretty but both were wins. they have only beat a bad miami(oh), a bad san diego state, and an overrated iowa team.

its not a big beef, though. im perfectly happy with the rankings. we just have to take care of business with 3 potential top 10 teams coming up.

Bama will drop like a rock after we take them to woodshed in Tuscalooser....They looked good yesterday but Florida also looked BAD....I hope UGA and Bama like the taste of defeat!

Why encourage him GT. Bama should be ranked higher than the Vols, period. All that said, they were lucky to get our of Tuscaloosa without other skilled players hurt.

All UT fans can do is hope we have some semblance of offense when we play the Tide.

Yeah, Mincey was running his gip. He was also the one that hit Brodie out of bounds on a play where we didnt get the first down and we were going to have to punt it. Thanks for the first down moron.

If all it takes to get a Tide squad that fired up is to say Tennessee has better D athletes...this years game should be nothing short of an organized fight. The game is almost always physical but I think this year it'll be increased by a factor of 10.

I'm excited for the 'Bama game this year. Darby looked good, but our front has proven to be VERY stout against the run... poor Prothro got hurt, I hate it for him... loved watching him play... but the guys in Tuscaloosa have actually been higher on DJ Hall due to his body type and speed... he'll have to step up with Prothro out. 'Bama should be undefeated when we show up in Ttown to give them their whooping...

With out schedule, something is very very wrong if we win out and are not the highest 1-loss team. Our already tough schedule has gotten a whole lot harder since the season started. Notre Dame looks to be very tough, as will Bama.

He may have been downing your team but "taking Bama to the woodshed" seems like a normal post you would see on a Volboard but a Bama fan calling people or their posts retarded is not.
