""As of last night, Gruden wanted to be the coach at UT" -S. Hargis."

"UT is releasing information out now to cover their tracks on how they are (botching this deal with #Gruden)...source impeccable". S. Hargis "

VolRumorMill is saying this on twitter: https://twitter.com/VolRumorMill

Thoughts?

Yes, I am SURE Hart wanted to piss off all of the donors.

Seeing as I have AL in my team listing, I am an insider with Saban. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that my sister teaches the brother of a kid that got a letter of intent from AL to play for them last year but his sister wound up going there as a cheeleader instead that Saban planted Hart here to screw us over. FACT!!

Whoever it was yesterday or the day before who wanted to be more like Arkansas, here you go. Public negotiations are ugly things.

Never said it was true hence the word "apparently".. just asking what you think about it is all

No, but you want to believe it so bad that you would post it to get attention. Gruden played UT for all we were worth. Wanted the freaking golden calf for $$ and then wanted total control over FB so that when he broke rules (which "supposedly" he was concerned about doing) he could self not report. He played us, period.

I do believe that Hart started to back off of Gruden when he started hearing all of his demands, yes. However, I do not know what is true out of all the information that has been posted over the last week or so.

Football drives the entired department. If he gets this wrong, all other departments will suffer.

And the ridiculous money they would have spent on the staff and concessions for gruden would hurt other departments too...........with NO guarantee of success.

If Grudie truly wanted to be paid more than Saban, then he is off his rocker.

Godspeed! Let's move on...

Gruden would've filled that stadium even on crap games, even with increased ticket prices. They put in some second tier coach, you're going to see how much other sports get hurt. Your comment is idiotic as hell.

I have known Stephen Hargis since we were teenagers. If he puts it in writing he has verified it through a source he truly believes as factual. Otherwise he does not write it.
I believe UT is either trying to cover for future accusations of screwing it up or they are flat out blowing smoke for misdirect. JMHO

Yet you knew/believed enough to post your anti-Hart sentiment.

Wonder what sport would have lost scholarships first? What is the most tenuous non-revenue men's sport at UT right now.....swimming/diving, golf, tennis, and cross country all would be chopping block fodder.

Anti-Hart sentiment???? This is what someone else reported.. I trust him a whole lot more than I trust you.. this is rumors and speculation doesn't mean it is all truth I am sure we will hear many different versions of what happened by many different people

Gruden apparently wanted to be the coach if we gave him the moon and the stars and turned a college job into an NFL job. We had to draw the line after the moon and before the stars.
