This. It's clear his info is different then others. Yet you choose to believe the negative. Just like his article about DD trying to hurt the school and not contacting recruits. While somewhat true you can paint whatever picture you want and believe how you want.

Was that little thing about only practicing 20 hours a week. He didn't want to count time in the weight room, team meetings, film review, and running as part of that 20 hours. No biggie. I think the NCAA blew it more than Hart. I mean Hart did his best with the NCAA to make rules exceptions for Jon Gruden didn't he?

Kinda looked like a definitive statement in the thread title to me......just sayin.

P.S. I have NO sources, I know NO insiders, I watch Gruden on TV, I see his EGO, I don't need anyone or anything to tell me that the guy would have had a hard time playing by the rules. HE IS KIFFIN ON STEROIDS. I don't want to be vacating wins 3 or 4 years from now because we had to go spend a zillion $$ to get a guy that we THINK would be a good NCAA coach.

This is so stupid.

I would have loved for Gruden to come here, but there's a large swath of people on this board that live in a complete fantasy land. Gruden turned us down in 2008 and 2010 as well. It's not because a failure in negotiations. It's because Gruden is not interested in coaching the college game.

He's an NFL guy. It was a long-shot to get him. It made sense to take a chance, but if he's more interested in the NFL, there's not much we can do.

About 98% of the rumors flying around have been completely false. Let's get back in reality and hope Hart finds us a great coach.

I am just worried that all of that money is going to some second-tier guy, some "up and comer". Who else out there would be worth clearing out 18 million dollars over the next 3 years?

WHAT ACCOUNTS???? Those that you choose to believe? There have been NO FACTS posted on this either way. Period. Until Hart makes a statement or Gruden makes a statement EVERYTHING is pure conjecture. Form your own opinion and stop believing everything that everyone else tells you.

Jon Gruden not focus of Tennessee Volunteers' search for coach, sources say - ESPN

There were discussions among the two sides late last week, but Gruden informed Tennessee officials after meeting with his family that it was a move he didn't want to make at this time, according to sources.

"Coach Gruden has let us know that he's not interested, and we're pursuing other candidates," a Tennessee official said.

Besides, easier to believe what someone says (Stephen Hargis) than the person who doesn't say anything. Not only that, I find it ironic you are labeling me as a 'sheep' and yet you will sit and wait for a statement from Hart that will never come, and blindly follow him until we find out his incompetency after the fact.

And you believe Hyams. He said Kiffen wasn't getting the job no way. Three days later Kiffen was hired.

Hyams has been a day late and a dollar short on this whole story. His only breaking news comes out after someone else puts out the story. Then all he does put out the fire for Hart.

My opinion right now is Hart sandbagged the Gruden hire because Gruden was not his 1st choice and Hyams covered his A**.
