So you think I should wait or go ahead with these lowers?

Anderson lowers are known for some inconsistencies. If you don't mind doing some minor alterations, they can be a good deal. The problems I have experienced are having to use oversized pins and the grip hole being too short for a standard grip screw. Also had to buff the interior of one.

If you don't mind stepping up a little in price, you can get a Spikes lower for $89.99 at primaryarms.com. I've found them to be of good quality at a fair price.

One of the best investments I've made was to buy a bag of Brownell's grip screws with the hex head. Being that I hate slotted screws, it's been well worth the money.

Yep, great solution. Cheap and easy. Also, oversized pins, which I normally use anyway.

It's really minor stuff for people with experience with them. Anderson lowers can be frustrating for people that are building their first or 2nd AR though.

I've only used them a couple of times. Had good luck with them though.

Bump. I never got any feedback on this. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Ok, for my next build I would like to do a 300 BO. I'm doing this because I would like to purchase a suppressor and from what I've read it is the best round to suppress. It's my understanding that the only change is the barrel. The mil-spec bcg for the 223/556 is the same. Even the mag's are the same (which can be dangerous if you're not paying attention. I will go with the standard 16" barrel as I don't want to pay another $200 for the tax. Another question I have is some say it's best to get the pistol length gas port in the barrel to help cycling suppressed round? Thoughts?

11.5 " barrels are best for suppressing 300 BO, atleast that's what I've been told by 2 reputable gunsmiths at Armsfair and guns and ammo here in Memphis, I just built an Anderson lower with a cmmg parts kit registered under "any other firearm" so I can make it a rifle one day or keep it as pistol, in the future I would like to make it an sbr with tax stamp and following proper ATF registration

I've heard some say a 16" drilled for pistol length tube works well too. I just did an sbr registration on an anderson lower but for a 10.5" 223/556. Can I place a 10.5" 300 BO on that lower and be legal without having to pay another $200?

You should contact your local FFL , because they know the law better than the ATFE

I don't see why it should be a problem as long as the sbr is registered under that lower with no caliber designation, it could qualify as a sbr/ any other firearm and they not care what caliber

This has me kind of worried if I possess an AR pistol and have an AR rifle then will it be a violation to have these "parts" even in the same safe?

It'd be a hard sell on the part of the BATF to do the constructive intent if you have a lower set up for pistol and a rifle set up. Unless of course you have said SBR upper mounted to a rifle lower without the stamp.

I think the problem comes in when people have what would be considered an SBR upper and no pistol lower to put it on.

Grand, do you the answer to my question? What I am doing is building a regular AR in 300 BO with a normal 16" barrel. My plan is to purchase a suppressor for the 300BO and an adapter to fit the SBR I'm currently waiting on the stamp. Could I purchase abother 300 BO barrel to fit on the sbr that has the stamp without purchasing another stamp? I'm assuming since the sbr is based on the lower their shouldn't be anything wrong with that.

From what I understand, you can have multiple SBR uppers so long as the minimum length and all calibers you intend to use are listed on the stamp paperwork. The lower is the key component in that situation and length of upper isn't a big deal.

Suppressors are a different animal that requires a new stamp each time.

I'm pretty sure we listed multi-caliber on the paperwork and the lower us stamped multicaliber.

I could use the one can on multiple weopons correct? You mean that each can has to have it's own stamp?

Each suppressor does need it's own stamp, yes.
