Are any of y’all from other cities???

Birmingham, Alabama. Love the city, hate all the Tide fans but it has been fun watching them ride the DeBoer roller coaster this year.

I lived there for 3 years. Surprisingly, the Auburn fans were worse than Alabama fans when I mentioned I was a Vol. Alabama fans called us "their respected rival". They hated Fulmer though. I was there when Alabama just started to get good: 2006-2009. In fact, Auburn had all the hype when I first arrived (2006).

So I’m from Lubbock, TX and have to deal with all the red raider fans here in town. I was just wondering if any of y’all besides SEC towns have to deal with being a die hard fan but feeling like all these people love to see us lose. I was at the bar watching our game and I will just have to watch the meaningful ones at home from now on. I watch these crappy raiders play every week and you thought we were delusional😂. They just don’t understand what it means to us or at least me. I don’t say anything when the sanders sons are scoring all over y’all. They told me that they were a louder stadium than us. Lemme know if y’all have to kinda deal with this in your city

Watch out for the Raider Rash, spreads like wildfire up there I hear.

Well you are better than me because we are finally able to bark back a little 😂 had to just sit there and get our butts beat for a good while. Nothing is better than seeing an Alabama fan here in town and just giving them that smirk. I am not a big conference pride guy in general but when these tech fans start to talk it’s just laughable. When we lost to BYU we were outraged and never thought that would happen. I get it that this isn’t that team but they will always be under us and we would be favored I believe. Tech fans were telling me how they could make the playoffs before Colorado came here and dealt with the “fajitas” being thrown at them. Let’s just be proud we have a chance and a good one 😏
Feels great to have beaten 2 of the 3 rivals twice a piece since 2022. Really felt like we competed well against GA finally this year. I know the talk about the defense in the game and all that but it was there for the taking still in the 4th.

I live near South Central Louisiana State University. The fans have been mostly non existent except for 1 year when they had a break out player that was a walk on. They went to a bowl game that year and even came back from behind to win after their break out player showed up to the game at half time.

I’m originally from Atlanta- so most my family barks… now I live in Colorado and the Deions are all the talk of the town… I don’t mind it though because they were pathetic for a long time and it’s not a big football culture- so at least they have something to be excited for.

I have lived in northwest Alabama for the last 20 years, if that tells you anything.

Chattanooga, TN here. But don't get it twisted, it's NOT Vol dominant here! With it being so close to the AL & GA borders, Chattanooga is very much an SEC "melting pot" with a lot of Bama/Georgia fans! My community especially is Bama heavy.

I grew up in Knoxville (Powell), then lived in Lexington for 3 semesters in college. The disdain for the Vols in KY was notable, as was their lack of having any skill in "trash talking." Whenever I said I went to UT, without hesitation I would hear "I'm sorry", but nothing else. I could never figure out what they were "sorry" about. After a while I would say, "Can't you guys come up with anything else?" Obviously they wouldn't talk about football so they called basketball a "real sport". For the most part I really enjoyed Lexington though. All the UK college students were cool. It was the older fans I couldn't stand sometimes.

I moved to NC (Raleigh/Durham area) after college and that place was insane when it came to basketball. Fans were fairly passionate about their football teams as well, but nothing like SEC fans. They were for the most part neutral when it came to TN, so I never caught much flak.

Moved back to TN 8 years ago and live 45 mins South of Nashville. There's quite a mix of Vols, Vanderbilt and Alabama fans, but for the most part it seems pretty tame. We have TN, AL, Texas A&M, and Ohio State fans all living on our street, but they're all pretty docile when they talk about sports.

Where/when did you live in San Francisco? I was there from 2000-2005, live in Cow Hollow the whole time. It was really cool (but expensive as hell even back then). Worked for a number of tech start ups, and spent a year plus working down in Sunnyvale at AMD (when their HQ was there). Loved to play golf at the Presidio GF and out at Harding Park (before it was a TPC, and a few times after).

Live in Biloxi, theres a wide mixture here. Ole Miss, MSU, LSU, and Alabama throw in an odd FSU or occaisional T A&M. Its a toss up who is more obnoxious Alabama or LSU. Almost got into a fist fight witn another old man at the golf course - he was screaming that LSU used us as a practice game for the World Series ( year before last!) I wondered where he was at this year!

Lived in Ft. Myers, FL for quite a while- lot of UF fans, especially in the Urban days.
Now in Charlottesville, VA- actually quite a few Tennessee fans around here, lots of Power T's on cars, license plates, etc. UVA doesn't care about football so no comments from them. Do get some comments from the VT fans though.

I live on scenic 30A in Florida. Don't get me started on Georgia fans. I was in Athens over the weekend and my wife tried to record and send a FaceTime video to our kids letting them know we made it OK and the game was about to start. Some obnoxious Georgia fan approached her from behind and started barking in the background and loudly in her ear. She then pauses to let him finish and tries to resume the recording and he keeps on with the freaking barking. This happened in the concession line while I was in our seats and not able to get my hands on this guy.
