Are there any conservatives that...

Odd. Every single person who cannot afford healthcare somehow has PS3's, flat screen television, cable, cell phones, etc. You guys hanging out in government housing again? Or just like stereotyping?

Just to answer your question, I was not even thinking people in government housing. I was thinking suburb people living in their nice house, 2 cars, etc...but conveniently overlook something like healthcare and/or depend on their employer for it.

If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck. When I do plant maintainance work for the cable TV companies, i spend alot of time in low income neighborhoods, with lots of section 8 housing. The taxpayer foots the bedrooms and roof bill for alot of people who have CATV.

Again, every single person has all of those items?

But as to the government housing situation. When my wife and I want a Blizzard at DQ, the one we go to has a housing project across the street from it. I swear everyone I see over there has a cell phone and likes standing outside to talk on it.

NO not every "single" person.....why would you even ask that question....?
But, most do!

Mostm as a "Generalization" becomes "Statistical Fact" when it hits 50.1%. Go to your nearest housing project and do a door to door survey. I bet you a paycheck I'm right.

are just not happy with any candidate in either party? I wish there was a better option. We need real change and not just a load of political garbage that they are all spitting.

Here's the problem: They are politicians which are in effect lawyers. So no, the average conservative American is not going to find a good representative of their values and ideals.

I personally would like to see the representative system done away with. The only reason you need represenatives is because you don't have the technology to let all Americans vote on the issues.

In the end, I want to vote on the issue not to vote for someone else to vote on the issue. My voice isn't heard if a representative doesn't share my views. Essentially, if "my" candidate is not elected and exactly represents everything I believe, then my voice isn't getting heard.

With today's technology, we should be able to vote for issues on a system that uses the TV or the internet. As for fraud associated with this, it couldn't be any worse than it already is.

If Rudy, Mitt Romney or Fred Thompson win the nomination, I will not vote on a presidential candidate at all and instead focus on local/state races.

1) Some people aren't Christian, get over it.

2) It's called Freedom of Assembly, if you want to start a Straight Pride Parade, do it by all means. And I don't agree with the people that will call you a bigot, but nothing is stopping you, just like nothing is stopping them.

3) Fine, now let's refine the drug policy in this country. When marijuana smokers start killing people by the thousands in car accidents, then we can put it one the same level of alcohol, and quit looking down on people for their "dangerous illegal drugs"

4) No one should ever be forced into military service, period. There are those of us that do not want to fight, nor do we think it is necessary.

5) Really? I mean, do I even have to respond to this? Innocent casualties are always a tragedy and should be avoided at all costs. Why should someone who has no involvement in anything have to worry about being bombed into oblivion?

6) The melting pot that is the US has one set of customs, since when? Or did you forget your ancestors came over on a boat like most everyone else.

7) Again, not everyone is a Christian. I am not, so I say Happy Holidays, because there are other holidays pretty close to Christmas. If it offends you, once again get over it.

That being said, at least you know what you believe, but I disagree with you on most of it, and I figured I would point that out. The beauty of freedom of speech I guess, it allows for good dialogue.

well heres my view
If equality is what muckrakers like jesse jackson and al sharpton want, then it needs to be across the board, not equality as long as it fits the advantage of a certain group. You know what, slavery happened over 130 years ago. theres not one person a live that was alive during that time. So as far as owing a group of people, they can kiss my arse. Race is just in issue used by politicians to accomplish their agenda, EXAMPLE: the DA in the duke lacrosse case. He appealed to the black voters because some crack whore stripper claimed rape by a bunch of white males. After every dna test came back negative, he still pushed it, in order to get re elected, so now im glad hes in prison.
Immigration. We are a nation of immigrants, even the native americans at one point immigrated here (granted it was 1000s of years ago) However the immigration issue is getting out of control. These illegals are coming over and some are working and trying, but the main point is that its not legal. What about the illegals that are in prison, who pays for that? Not the illegals, WE DO the legal taxpayers. I think it was awesome when the governer of Oregon sent Vincente Fox (Mexican President) a bill for all of the illegals in his prisons. Also when they get sick and go to the hospital? THey dont have insurance or anything, so once again the burden falls to the taxpayers. I have a friend that teaches in Dalton, GA. In order to keep her job she had to learn spanish because most of her students in her class spoke spanish. That is absurd. Once again, the taxpayers are paying for these illegals to get a free education. When i went and studied abroad over in Italy, i had to learn some basic italian. Just because me and a few other Americans were in the city, they did not re do most everything and turned into english so they could accomodate us.
Patton once said "War is hell." In modern war, innocent people will get hurt and killed. Mainly because the force we are fighting does not care if innocents get killed. To them its hey they get to go see allah. Most of our major campains we have sent to civillians to get out. I mean if i get a note from the US military that says get out of dodge, that generally means that something bad is going to happen, so im gettin out of there. Not to mention the terrorist force are using civillians basically as shields and weapons. Strapping explosives to small children and such. Like i told my brother when he first got back from Iraq, its you or them, and its stupid to say ok, its a kid and they have a bomb, you can come blow me up because you are a kid. Its a tragedy, but better them then you. I dont care what is coming at me, if they are yelling their jibberish, and coming to try to kill me, im gonna shoot them, plain and simple.

Pure democracy..............

Mob rules over a constitutional republic?

A mob republic over a constitutional democracy???

It all boils down to:

If you think your vote counts for something, they have pulled the wool over your eyes and their "system" is working to overcome the peasants.

Why would I think my vote counts for any thing?

If I ran a corporation or the like......sure my vote counts.

Exactly. Americans are Americans I don't care what you do or don't own. All should be able to vote and have their voice heard. The representative system doesn't do that. Lobbyists' voices are the ones that are heard...not common folk.

I am in NO way supporting "national healthcare", but there has to be something better than what we have. The doctors are screwing the insurance companies, the drug companies are screwing the insurance companies, insurance and drug companies are lobbying to congress and the american public are getting raped, along the small businessman who wants to provide benfits but can't because of the abuse has screw the rest of us the hard working american family. That is one point that needs fixed...I know that was off topic but it started as a point in my head then went to rant, sorry

Don't forget the government healthcare plans paying hospitals something like 5-7% of the bill. Medicare, Medicaid, etc. only pay a tiny fraction of the bill. The hospital or doctor has to eat the rest. Then there are the "self-pay" people that come to the ER instead of a family doctor for their healthcare. They show up, are treated (because we have to) and stiff the bill. Which can be in the thousands of dollars. Hospitals take them to court, are awarded a "judgement" against them and get $0 anyway. Bad debt for hospitals is staggering. Yes we need a better system. But really, there aren't any possible solutions that benefit everybody. The ones that are being talked about mostly benefit a target group. Translation: the politicians buddies.
