Are we the leader for Dyer???

Doesn't matter if they pick Auburn. Dyer would have been a luxury. He is definitely not a need. We have a deep backfield. Not that i didn't want to see him in orange though.

We also have to remember that his commitment is only a verbal and there is a lot of time until NSD.

If he picks UT this thread will melt down.

If he picks Auburn, people will post about how UT doesn't need him.

This should be interesting to watch unfold.

Let's hope he comes and plays for the Big BLACK! :peace2:

Supposedly he will announce to Auburn today and then in a couple of days he will say he is a "soft verbal". From what I understand he is being pushed to UT by Mosley and his father, but he has some connection to the Barn. Loooooong time till the first wed in Feb.

Yea, no.

I dont think anyone at all here is expecting him to say UT today. And tbh I dont see many who think he will on signing day other than a few. This is not a huge need position, hes a huge prospect but if he signs with Auburn oh well.

Didn't expect to get him but it's still a long way till signing day...never know what could happen

It's pretty well understood, even at Auburn, that this is a soft verbal. It really just means that Auburn is the leader right now but his recruitment will continue. He may end up sticking with Auburn, but he's still going to listen to other coaches and take visits. This announcement was expected, and ultimately, meaningless.
