Interesting. Most people I know who choose not to be a donor do so because they believe they are supposed to go to heaven "whole." You're the first I've seen use this particular argument.

The soul goes to heaven. The body left behind is just a bag of bones

I learned this from an ER nurse and subsequently changed my donor status.

It happens. But its really rare. The most disturbing thing about organ donation is how many people make millions except the guy who gives them and the guy who gets them. The middlemen are the scum.

Definitely a donor!
I look at it this way, if you receive an organ to save your own or another's life, you should donate.

Just curious. Saw that one of my wife's friends is celebrating 2 years after having a heart transplant and figured I would ask.
The donor heart finally gave out and Brooke passed away yesterday. She spent the last 6 years after her transplant committed to making Hampton Roads a better place. Six years helping people that would not have been possible without a donor heart. She will be missed

Please consider signing up if possible

I'm late to the thread, but I'm happy to be a donor.

I told my wife and have it in my papers, if somebody can use it, they're welcome to anything I've got once I'm gone.

I'm not only an organ donor, I'm a regular blood donor. Less than 40% of the US population is eligible to give blood these days, so, if you are among us, please, extend your arm. :hi:

Same. I won't be needing it anymore, why not help someone who could benefit from it.
