Are you an organ donor?

i have a question,when they take an organ,your supposedly aren't able to feel pain,is that true ?

i have mixed feelings about it,of course I'm old enough and lived a hard life,so there may not be much to harvest

They won't try very hard to keep you alive when they see all your pretty organs and notice you're a donor!

Thought the same thing. Save the lives of many with the loss of yourself.

The donor heart finally gave out and Brooke passed away yesterday. She spent the last 6 years after her transplant committed to making Hampton Roads a better place. Six years helping people that would not have been possible without a donor heart. She will be missed

Terrible to hear, but I'm glad she had those 6 years to give back.

I've registered as an organ donor. Also give blood. I only pray it helps a few people live a littler better.

Sadly a friend is having his organs recovered this morning in the hope he can help others after his untimely passing. There are people even here on VN who are in need so please consider doing it for them

I've been a donor, but my doctors at Vandy said I can no longer be a donor, especially after I eventually receive a liver. I'm not a doctor myself, so I'm not clear on the reasoning, I just know what I was told. But if I could remain a donor, I absolutely would.

I am. I don't know how much use they'll be once I'm done with them though
