For those of you who are going, be your best Orange, affable, generous in spirit and deed. Represent well. Greet everyone as a friend, whether they’re friendly or not. Let your fandom be like your faith, resolute and welcoming. Let Columbus and tOSU want us to come back, as have most anywhere we’ve visited to see our Vols play. We are Orange, and we are legion. We have been and should ever be the best fans in all of collegiate sports. GBO!

Season ticket holders must be really mad at Day. Tickets available all over the stadium. Just looking at section 20A there's all kinds for sell.

You know what I think all of those little purple marks are.
They are ALL early Christmas 🎄 presents for Vol fans…hint…hint…
“Honey, I know we always wait until Christmas Day to open all our presents, but I got you this one early gift 🎁 that you need to open now”

The only thing keeping me from Columbus is health related, not something I can ignore or set aside for a brief trip. Otherwise, I would be there singing Rocky Top at the top of my lungs every time POTS plays it. Bucknuts can try to get O, H, I, O rolling through the stands, but they can’t drown out Rocky Top.

There is a lot of interest in this game locally. But there just is not a lot of excitement of the kind that is motivating people to go out and buy tickets. Perhaps if the loss to Michigan happens in week three it would be a lot different. I am fired up for the game. But the best way to describe the general mood right now, it would be hopeful pessimism. Day is going to have to prove that he can win a big post-season game before a lot of people get too excited. Been there, done that, seen it. We are always in the top five then something always happens to blow things up. Key players might get injured as happened with our line. Or the kicker might shank a field goal into the stands in the final second. Something always blows things up and people are spooked and putting up mental guards to not feel let down if it happens again.

Would love to get your impressioned about the student sections there? Think a lot people go home for winter break or is this the usual composition of the home crowd in your opinion?

For those going to the game either to see it in person or just go to a sports bar and soak up the vibe, UT does have an Alumni group there that you might want to contact about a watch party, pep rally, Vol Walk, local hotel info, etc.

As far as my take on the student section, it would be don't sit there(North or lower South endzone bleachers directly behind goalposts). It's the only place you will likely encounter rude and obnoxious behavior towards visiting fans.

I don't know how many students will be attending. The Semester is over and everyone had to be out of the dorms last Friday. How many come back to attend I do not know, but I suspect there will still be a large number of students in attendence.

Section 3A

fyi- used a newer ticket site called XP tickets and secured a ticket that was $100 less than the ticketmaster cost....used a promo code "BROBIBLE50" to get $50 off.

Hey buddy, is Polaris a safe area to book a room? Traveling with my daughter and son and don’t want to be in a dangerous area.

Per Sports Source show, this will be Tennessee's first road trip to an original Big 10 school in football history and the 14th road game in school history to a northern school.

Very safe. Polaris is a suburban commercial zone shopping mecca..lots of malls, outlets, dining etc...

There are really only a couple of areas to be concerned with and only one is a place with hotels. Unless you're packing and you don't want to wake up and see your car sitting up on blocks in the hotel lot, avoid staying in Franklinton west of Columbus.
