It's sketchy but here is the best info I can find on the false financial statements. Basically, the judge ruled that his statements of financial condition were false due to overvaluing his holdings. I can't find anywhere where he was charged with fiddling with his balance sheet or cash flow records.

That’s what I’m seeing too. The same thing we’ve all been talking about. They disagreed with his claims on property value, not on income. For one, they take those numbers from your tax returns anyway, so both parties are typically on the same page.
