Are you pulling for any of the remaining teams...

We need an all SEC Final between Georgia and Texas to save our pathetic conference from total embarrassment.

Between us getting blown out by Ohio State, Alabama looking like trash against Michigan, and South Carolina losing to Illinois, the SEC needs Georgia and Texas in the Final to salvage our reputation. Otherwise we're going into next year being looked at as a lesser conference that won't get the benefit of the doubt when conversations about who deserves to be in the playoffs comes up.

Go ND. Go ASU.

I'm sure you're taking into consideration that many of the power teams in bowl games are playing new guys, right?

I was a SEC guy years ago. After we had a decade of irrelevance, I don't want anything to give a rival any momentum. I watch everyone else's football games for entertainment purposes only.
Yeah, I hear friends chanting SEC SEC and then in the off season they say why can't we get recruits over UGA& Bama. They say I don't understand, I say its winning, the teams you are saying yeah & chanting about at the end of every season is winning which reflects on recruiting. Players want to go to winners.

If this is true then why did nobody catch up to the SEC during that run from 2006-2012? Being the best team in a weak conference doesn't guarantee you'll win it all. The best players want to play in the best conference. If the Big 10 starts to be looked at as the best conference they'll start to dominate us in recruiting. So even if we become the tallest midget in a weak conference it won't ultimately help us when we play the best team from the elite conference cause they're just gonna bust our ass the way Alabama has been busting other conferences champs the last few decades.
Just me personally, but I liked not having Bama, UGA or OSU throttle thru their season undefeated. Ultimately, UGA, TX or OSU will win the championship, but think it's more fun if there's more competition spread throughout the country, as opposed to going into the season knowing one of either a couple SEC teams or BIG teams will go largely unchallenged. I do think the talent spread from NIL/transfer portal is having impact, but I also think this season could be somewhat of an anomaly, because there was no real high-level QB, like Daniels, Burrow, Tua, Trevor on the best teams that just elevated them higher than everyone else. Think next year will be different, as there's some pretty good SEC QBs who have started to rise...and then Manning for TX.

I can never pull for ND. They think they are God’s gift in football and therefore do not have to follow the same rules and traditions required for all other teams. They are too good to join a Conference because they would lose their NBC contract. I hope and wish they never win another football game.

Why don't they just go ahead put what they think the 4 best teams are into the playoffs because they already have by the way they scheduled the games so they really was no reason to expand the playoffs with boring teams that's nothing but a mismatch with no hope of any upsets which a lot of fans would like to see.

I’m from Atlanta and have UGA friends who are very classy and encouraging as long as Dawgs aren’t playing the Vols. I’ll return the favor.
In my experience most alumni-fans of the various schools are this way, it's the sidewalk fans who switch their allegiance depending on who is good that give everyone a bad name. UGA has a bunch of those types right now because of the success.

And why would they not matter? The past success of the SEC and teams like Alabama plays a huge part in the playoff discussion every year. Why else do you think there was legitimate debate about letting a 9-3 Alabama into the playoffs ahead of a 11-2 SMU this year? Or last year when 1-loss Alabama got in over undefeated Florida State?

What's happening this postseason will have a huge impact on how the playoffs debates go next year. If the SEC continues to get waxed by the Big 10, we will no longer get the benefit of the doubt about playing a grueling schedule. Think about it this way. As a 2-loss SEC team we were ranked ahead of a 1-loss Indiana. A major reason for that was because of the perception that the SEC schedule is tougher than other conference schedules. If the perception that our conference schedule is strong is gone then why would a 2-loss Tennessee be ahead of a 1-loss team from another conference? Next year you'll see 2-loss Big 10 teams being ranked ahead of 1-loss SEC teams because the perception will be that their conference is tougher.
Tennessee isn’t going to get the benefit of the doubt anymore and frankly doesn’t deserve it. Only reason we were in the discussion is because the SEC was bad this year, and we had the easiest schedule.
