Are you pulling for any of the remaining teams...

in the playoffs?

I'm hoping for Oregon to win it all. After that, maybe Texas...would be cool to see Arch Manning play a role. After that, I like Penn State.
No, no way on Tex they’re in the category of “I hope they lose every game!” with Bama, Notre Dame, Florida & Michigan. And No on Penn St. b:c I can’t stand Franklin…

Honestly at this point OSU looks like they’re going to destroy anyone I their path.

We need an all SEC Final between Georgia and Texas to save our pathetic conference from total embarrassment.

Between us getting blown out by Ohio State, Alabama looking like trash against Michigan, and South Carolina losing to Illinois, the SEC needs Georgia and Texas in the Final to salvage our reputation. Otherwise we're going into next year being looked at as a lesser conference that won't get the benefit of the doubt when conversations about who deserves to be in the playoffs comes up.
I couldn't care less about a sec team winning. It hasn't helped us in the 20 yrs of hell

Pulling for Sun Devils and pulling for all SEC teams not named Tennessee to lose badly,
Sun Devils are making a huge comeback against Texas. Ever has thrown a couple of ints and , in my opinion, should have never started ahead of Arch. He floats the ball and often throws short, setting up the interceptions for the secondary. I hope Texas keeps Sarkesian

I'm sure you're taking into consideration that many of the power teams in bowl games are playing new guys, right?

I'm talking about perception not reality. Obviously anyone with sense wouldn't read much into the non-playoff games but that's not what college football media and fans do. They're already using the bowl losses to the big 10 to argue the SEC is overrated. And whether we like it or not the media sets perception early in the season with the AP poll. It's from that framework of preseason expectations we create narratives like who has a hard schedule and who doesn't.

Just me personally, but I liked not having Bama, UGA or OSU throttle thru their season undefeated. Ultimately, UGA, TX or OSU will win the championship, but think it's more fun if there's more competition spread throughout the country, as opposed to going into the season knowing one of either a couple SEC teams or BIG teams will go largely unchallenged. I do think the talent spread from NIL/transfer portal is having impact, but I also think this season could be somewhat of an anomaly, because there was no real high-level QB, like Daniels, Burrow, Tua, Trevor on the best teams that just elevated them higher than everyone else. Think next year will be different, as there's some pretty good SEC QBs who have started to rise...and then Manning for TX.

I care more about what's best for Tennessee than what's best for college football. So if we don't win then I want someone we either beat or lost to to win the national championship so it makes us look better. If Texas and Georgia play for the natty it's best for us because it shows we play in the best conference and means our 3rd place finish in the conference matters. Also going into next season the SEC will get the benefit of the doubt in playoff conversations because of how well the SEC teams did in the playoffs the previous year.

As a Tennessee you should view everything under the context of what's best for Tennessee not what's best for college football.

Regardless, in the end, the traditional powers are playing for national championships. Arizona State facking belonged. They've been dormant for years, but have been a force in the past, under the radar. They put a lot of players in the NFL up until the last 15-20 years. Oregon has become a power the past two decades but still isn't considered a traditional power like ND, Ohio State, Penn State, Georgia, Texas and yes, Tennessee. Alabama and Michigan were really the only two traditional teams not to make it that had a chance, and Michigan was out of it early in the season

Seriously what’s wrong with Texas? Tennessee and Texas are the two best states in the south.
The University of Tennessee, established in 1794, proudly bore the “UT” moniker long before the University of Texas was founded in 1883. Despite Tennessee’s historical claim, Texas adopted the same abbreviation, leading to a contentious dispute over rightful ownership. In 1986, a begrudging compromise was reached: Tennessee would use “UT” east of the Mississippi River, and Texas to the west. This decision underscores Tennessee’s precedence and exposes Texas’s overreach in appropriating the “UT” designation.
