Area 51

So first of all, there is no way all these people show up for something like this. However, hypothetically, if they did, do you really think our military would mow down 650k unarmed people? Wouldn't that just open up way more questions about what secrets they are protecting (hiding?) there?
You do remember Waco right?

They would shoot a few, after several warnings, and the rest would run away.

Most of them would die of thirst or heat exhaustion in the desert before they got anywhere near the place.

What Would Happen If Thousands of People Really Did “Storm Area 51”?

Another thing is just the logistics. There is not a lot of stuff around area 51 to support any type of crowd. Hope these idiots come prepared

I doubt the military gun down thousands of people trying to rush the site. That would be very bad look.

I doubt it comes to thousands, if any at all. You may have a few crack heads run out who get gunned down. And the rest learn their lesson and go home.

They should dress soldiers up as aliens to chase away these intruders after they rush the place. Maybe have some kind of ray gun issued. Tape the whole event for Youtube.

Hypothetically if they did, they would be attacking a military base. As such they would be setting themselves up as enemy combatants. The defenders of the base would be justified in using whatever force necessary to neutralize the attack.

Jesus. Justified or authorized? The only way it's justified is if the lives are worth less than the secrets they are guarding.

Both. If you're stupid enough to assault a military installation you brought it on yourself.

That's not an idea that satisfies justice. You're talking about culpability, not justice.

Did the founding Fathers escape justice because they won their revolt and weren't hanged?

Roll your eyes all you want to, but attacking a military instilation is a matter of national security. I'll go a step further. The DHS should identify all of these jackwagons talking about this on FB and twitter , and arrest them for conspiracy to commit a terrorist act.

We were talking about the idea of it being a just result. Of course national security is at play here, but that's not what we were talking about. My point was about whether or not the secrets held at Area 51 are worth 650,000 lives.

Without knowing what those secrets are we can't answer that. What we can answer is that actions have consequences.
