Arian Foster to get more PT (merged)

I said last year that he would be a RB that NFL teams would like because of his receiving skills. He should be on the active roster all year in 2010. He and Slaton would make a nice 1-2 punch.

The other Foster is a rookie starting guard for the Steelers. When given a chance the kids from Fulmer's class do well. Wait until this April when all of Phil's kids are drafted erasing the stupidity of "no talent" on the Hill.

There was some talent on the Hill but no depth. Once you got past the starters the talent went downhill fast. Watch the Ole Miss game to remind yourself how bad the talent drop was from 1st team to second team. If the talent was where it needed to be you wouldn't have seen all the walk on's getting as much playing time as they did.

How many guys from UT were drafted last year?

"Phil's kids"? Are you kidding me? This is not the Jerry Lewis Telethon.

First of all, getting drafted does not mean that "Phil's kids" had talent. Just how many sucessful NFL players will come from what Flummo left for Lane? Berry will be one, Hardesty has a shot, Chris Scott will be no better than a 4th rounder. Sorry, but I'm having more than just a little trouble putting together a string of kids who will, collectively, show on Draft Day that "Phil's kids" were loaded with talent.

On the other hand, John Majors left Phil 22 players who eventually played in the NFL. When you consider those numbers, its easy to see why the "stupidity" lies with the Fulmeristas.

This explains Michael Munoz and Gerald Riggs, right? Maybe it will help us all understand the tiny number of draftees over the past 5 seasons.

Phil quit evaluating football players and started buying into third party evaluations. It explains the huge number of busts.

Ramon Foster was an absolute failure on the Hill. His 2008 season was plain awful. Notice he's starting now, but wasn't even drafted. Give him one year with our current staff and he's getting taken round 4, at worst.

I also think our current staff would have gotten more than one decent year out of Montario Hardesty in addition to correcting the way Arian carried the ball for five freaking years.

Great to see Arian's hard work pay off. He came back for his senior season and was rudely rewarded for that dedication to Tennessee.

I wish him the best. Way to prove the doubters wrong.

Per Rotoworld...

Coach Gary Kubiak confirmed that RB Arian Foster will be showcased in the final three games with Ryan Moats losing a fumble and Chris Brown ineffective Sunday.
"We're fixing to pick it up big-time for (Foster)," Kubiak said.

One of our favorite deep Dynasty sleepers entering the season, Foster is a big back with impressive pass-catching ability. He averaged just 2.6 YPC Sunday, but that number will pick up against the Rams next week. Consider Foster a flex option the next two weeks. Dec. 14 - 10:44 am e

How original. :lolabove:

I think another of his problems was that he was not playing behind a stellar offensive line during his time here. They were a bunch of west-coast type pass blockers and werent very good at drive blocking. Also, Cory Anderson balked at the prospect of being a Cutcliffe fullback, so he had to run out of single back most of the time.

If Arian would have had the 1992-1994 offensive line and fullbacks, he would have looked more like James Stewart.

I am pumped for Foster...he is the 2nd all time rusher for the Vols, it will be a big benefit for us for him to have a great career...and also it will provide him and his family a great life!

Go Arian!

I really wish Coach Fulmer would not have gotten so burned out during his last 6 years. We had so much talent that we didn't know about until the NFL staffs coached them up. Guess everyone has to get old.

Arian Foster relates to UT football, so I'm glad this thread is in THIS forum.

29 posts and already policing the threads?

Actually, I couldn't find a way to post in that forum. Sorry I have a life and I am not on here too much to increase my post count (I guess some people are worried about that). Freak posted his comment before this was released on rotoworld anyways. Just trying to spread some good news about former Vols. Maybe I should stay away, since every time anyone tries to say anything they always get bashed. It surely makes people want to stick around. Anyways...GOOD LUCK ARIAN! To everyone else, I will continue to do whatever I feel is right, even if bothers you...actually that might be a reason to do it even more! Thanks!
