You know they both coached in the SEC before being hired from the NFL to coach college again right? So they had proved their coaching abilities in the SEC. So labeling them as a "homerun" hire is okay.

Relax. If we hadn't hired anyone by last Thursday we weren't going to announce anyone until tomorrow at the earliest. Friday-Saturday out of respect for the conference you don't compete with the featured event.

Sunday-Tuesday out of respect for Fulmer. He deserves his moment in the sun without people asking him what he thinks of his latest replacement. Will he probably be asked about the opening? Sure, but he can decline that easy. He has to say something nice about the new guy if asked so it would be disrespectful to make him do it at his banquet.

Look for an announcement tomorrow or Thursday.

Just had an interesting chat with my son, and he said something interesting.... "Mom, I may be dreaming a pipe dream, but for all the talk about Gruden and those guys to have died down so suddenly sounds makes me wonder. Are you hearing any rumors from people close to?... Uh-no! It's gotten a little too quiet. And if it's not Gruden or whoever, I think this man (Hart) has something up his sleeves that's going to rock Rocky Top one way or the other. Think about it. He'd better if he likes his job and want to keep it and the VN happy!" Sure hope my son is half-way right. :compute:

This guy will never recruit anyone, he whines like a baby if someone recruits a current commitment. Gentleman's code or something stupid like that, he will never cut it. Meyer recruited against him and he said he would never be like we are in the SEC.

No one knows if he had been contacted and just told his agent he's not looking to get back in or maybe he found a new job the day after he got fired....

...rumors since tgiving wknd in AL had him replacing 1 of 2 assts projected to be leaving Bama at some pt.
