I get a feeling before every game of whether i believe we will win or lose. The only time i have been wrong this year is before the Cal game. This game i have that feeling Tennessee will win.

When I look at Arkansas' running game, i see the best back in the country. He is outstanding. He will run on us, but he will not run all over us. The only teams who have been successful running on us are those teams with a good passing attack to back it up. You can't just stack the line against LSU b/c their passing game is great. With Arkansas this is not the case. We will be able to stack the line b/c the passing game is not good. All they do is drop back and throw the ball up to Monk. This is not the defintion of a good passing attack. If this works against us we will lose anyway, but i dont think it will.

This is still Tennessee football. A lot of the rushing yards these teams are getting on us come via the quarterback. I don't think Dick gives Arkansas that threat.

Anyway, I see a close game, but if its a blow-out it will be us providing that.

I don't think that it is going to be a blow out either way. And people keep bringing up various injuries on both sides. It seems like both teams are pretty banged up. Good luck Vols. And Go Hogs! WPS!

That is what I would expect most Tenn. fans to think. It's not that simple.... Ask Auburn..

If Crompton is on after a full week of no sh*t Cut taking all the snaps and Cut coaching we'll win a TD or two. If he is off and makes more freshman mistakes it'll be close like the LSU game coming down to the last couple minutes again.

Don't expect 4 turnovers. I think we pretty much used up all our turnovers the first game of the year against the real USC.. :BANGHEAD2:

Sorry that i don't think Arkansas is in the same leauge as LSU. I don't think a lot of teams are in the same league as LSU. It actually looked like Tennessee was playing an NFL team out there last weekend. After that game i don't think this team is afraid of taking on anybody.

Razorbacks definately took the USC game as a learning experience and built from it. Kudos to Nutt for that. Not easy.

Having said that, I hope the Vols give you another learning experience on Saturday.

Well, speaking for at least myself, I'm glad to have Tenn. back on the schedule for a couple of years. I wish we still played every year.

It makes mores sense regionally than playing Florida or Georgia and so on.

Although Tenn. has gotten the better of the series I think we all could agree its had some classic games in it. And with the short amount of times the two schools have played it's pretty remarkable if you think about it.

All the way back to the '90 Cotton Bowl ( I was there).

I hope the Vols stay injury free this week, but this is by far the best Hog team Tenn has ever played.

Ark is playing for an SEC championship. We are playing for pride in that this is our last chance to beat a ranked team. Those motivations should make it an exciting game. I really don't see any one having the edge, however it appears Ark has the most to lose with a loss. They may be wound too tight for this game.

Yeah I hope we don't blow it like in many seasons before.

Good job by you. My thoughts exactly. One of the most painful memories I have is of the 93 game (I believe, correct me here if I'm wrong) when you guys took back two punts and won 24-23 to all but end Majors career. Who can forget the Stoerner Stumble and his revenge the following year in Arkansas? Great rivalry. I loved it when you guys were one of our permanent 'western' opponents. :clapping:

Doesn't Arkansas spread the field to prevent teams from stacking the line?

They do have a passing game, obviously overshadowed by their running game, but they have the no. 1 QB prospect from last year and he's not even the starter. Obviously their starting QB can play.

UT will have to play better rushing defense then they played all year, and UT will have to score a ton of points to win. At least 30, If Ainge can't play at close to 100%, this will be very difficult to do. I think this is the toughest game yet, just because of UT injuries and Arkansas matches up well.

'92. I was there. :cray:

I'll never forget that game. Arkansas was having another one of those "rebuilding" years, and was unranked. Tennessee was ranked 4th in the AP at the time. Arkansas won on a last second field goal. It was obviously the highlight of our season that year.

It was also the same year Arkansas lost to a DII team - The Citadel.

Beating the Hogs is pretty easy. We just need to score more than they do. :)

Thats a blonde for you. I dont think yall can easily beat us. However, you are more than capable if you can throw at all against us. We will be blitzin the new one. We will see if he can handle the environment.

Get this .... I don't think ya'll can easily beat us, either. It's going to be a close, nervewrecking game. Penalties and turnovers will decide this one.

Thats is what is gonna make us so focused on this one game. BTW, there are already students camping out in front of our stadium, since last night

i expected a tough game even after ark went down to usc, but i do beleive crompton can handle it and may actually thrive with one full game under his belt. ark, cal, and scaro, always scared me, teams i felt we should beat if we were to be a decent ball club and redemptive of last year. i wish we were in a daytime game, i just want to get this one played. go vols, crompton is plenty tough.
