Arkansas Pregame Discussion

I am considering it. I will be coming through Knoxville on my way home from GA for Tgiving. It may all depend on the game time, and how much shopping my wife can do in Pigeon Forge.
Easy fix, just get her a new credit card and let her go hog wild, you know she can do it!:dance2:

i think the short pass/screens were exposed by LSU...esp. with Crompton in the game. LSU took all that away. I would expect Ark to do the same.

that said, we'll get a big play or two. the key is if we are as fortunate as we were against LSU to get some turnovers, we have to capitalize.

defensively...it's going to be tough. we haven't exactly been stellar against the run, and DM and FJ will be the best tandome we've faced all year.

i would just love to seen the opposing team's punter again...SC and LSU combined for what...3 punts in the two games????? we got to get off the feild when 3rd down comes up.

anyone expect Ark to install some option plays??? I do.

given the timing of this game in the season...this may be the toughest game of the year to win.

IMO Auburn's offense obviously has more wrinkles. I am a believer in what Borge's has done down there, but I think that with the possible exception of USC, UT will be the most verticle offense the Hogs have seen this year.

McFadden will easily be the best tailback UT has seen. My hope is that Dick, or Mustain don't find their own wheels to be helpful in keeping the Vol offense off of the field.

If I were Houston Nutt I would not start either, but play third string Arkansas QB Robert Johnson and run the option. We absolutely cannot stop a mobile QB.

Sorry that i don't think Arkansas is in the same leauge as LSU

Well, one thing is for sure. We'll find out soon enough. I think the Hogs are certainly in the same "league." In a few weeks, neither one of us will be left speculating.

I do remember last season's 21-19 finish in Death Valley. I would think that playing LSU within 2 points at home would qualify the Razorbacks as "in the same league" with the Tigers.

One thing to remember, too. Arkansas is a much better team than last season.

As far as this season goes, I saw Arkansas score 27 points and win, on an Auburn team that beat LSU. LSU did manage to sqeeze out a field goal.

I'm not sure that means anything this late in the season, but how does it disqualify Arkansas from being the same caliber as LSU?

haha, rojo is done. i love the guy and have out w/ him out side of school. really cool, down to earth guy, but i never see him playing qb in college again. he's a wide out now, and he's happy with that. he's one of those guys that just loves the game of football.

Lest you should forget, we run a lot of plays with McFadden at QB. I fully expect to see him run the option with Felix Jones this week.

bottom line is we can't stop the run...ARk should have a feild day. regardless of who's running it.

and Nutt would nuts (get it?), to not install some option package. mobile, immobile..doesn't matter. if a qb runs, we can't stop him.

and please no quips about the bad joke...lol.
