Arkansas Pregame Discussion

Short passes to Meach and let him YAC it up:rock:

I guess it's a bad deal/good deal for Arkansas. I don't think there's anyway we can keep Meachem from getting touches, but so far this season, we've been pretty good at shutting down the YAC factor.

So far....

We had some really good screens that we did against SC that worked really well. Didn't see too many against LSU.

I think the short easy passes to JC will be there all night. And expect a few deep to Meachem. He had two against the LSU secondary that could have been all luck, but still. It's a possibility.

Funny you should mention that US. I think we tried to run about four in the first half. I was beginning to get a little irritated. LSU's D-Line kept blowing them up.

You have us basically playing for the SEC West title, we will be prepared

*sigh*

I was comparing your opponents to each other. Not to you. WEEEEEEEEEEEEE are focused and pissed. Auburn was napping for you.

You have been focused for both.

IMO Auburn's offense obviously has more wrinkles. I am a believer in what Borge's has done down there, but I think that with the possible exception of USC, UT will be the most verticle offense the Hogs have seen this year.

McFadden will easily be the best tailback UT has seen. My hope is that Dick, or Mustain don't find their own wheels to be helpful in keeping the Vol offense off of the field.

BTW Lex. I will send you your DVD's later in the season (I'm getting the rest of the schedule). I keep the games we win. I can keep the ones we lose if you want, but I don't see a need to keep em:)

Thanks US. I finally made it down to the LSU game. Got lucky with some plush accomodations. This is my warning to out of towners that might consider the downtown brewery. I think they put some shine in the beer, cause it kicked me like a mule.

This made me laugh very happily.

I'll be in town the week of Thanksgiving and will be attending the Kentucky game. Maybe I'll run into some VN regs.

I am considering it. I will be coming through Knoxville on my way home from GA for Tgiving. It may all depend on the game time, and how much shopping my wife can do in Pigeon Forge.

I have thought about this as well. Arkansas has more pressure to win this game, and for UT it may only be the difference between the bowl they go to. UT has been a media darling, and can finish the season ranked with a loss Saturday.

That being said, for a program on the rise like Arkansas there is a real question about how they may handle that pressure. UT must come out guns a blazing and play like they have nothing to lose.

I think Arkansas is the clear favorite to win this game. Of course all the Razorback peeps think so, but I think you will find the national media also pimping Arkansas this weekend.

We are at home
We are playing for a conference title
We are higher ranked
We have more talent (overall)(all due respect to your receivers)

I realize that most Vol fans will pick Tennessee to win, but do you think that is just the hometown bias, or do you think Tennessee actually has the better team? That would be a difficult debate to win.

I believe Tennessee has the better team, 65 people deep. I believe UT has the better team when you consider all 22 starters.

Arkansas is a CLEAR favorite, as evidenced by the 5.5 point line.
